Police Reports
The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts:
May 24 — Daniel N. Mukaabya, 35, of Karns City, was charged with felony possessing drugs with intent to sell or distribute, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and a summary charge of driving without a license after police said two bags of raw heroin were found in Mukaabya’s vehicle during a search.
May 24 — Gerald O’Donnell, 75, of Portersville, was charged with improperly approaching an intersection after police said he hit a motorcycle while trying to pass it at the intersection of Meridian and Milt Miller roads.
May 23 — Benjamin J. Bell, 36, and Emil S. Bowman-Geddie, 32, both of New York, were charged with felonies retail theft, conspiracy and receiving stolen property after police said they left Kohl’s with $2,000 worth of merchandise without paying for it.
May 23 — Kevin M. Victor, 33, of Renfrew, was charged with misdemeanors small amount of marijuana and use and possession of drug paraphernalia after police said a glass smoking device and container of suspected marijuana was found during a search of Victor’s vehicle following a traffic stop at the intersection of Jackson and Main streets in Evans City.
May 24 — John R. Lutz, 20, of Cranberry, was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance after police said he showed signs of impairment during field sobriety tests conducted at East Spring Street. Following later blood tests, Lutz had traces of acetone and Fentanyl in his system, according to police.
May 23 — Sal J. Martin, 37, of Belle Vernon, was charged with five misdemeanor DUIs after police said he fled the scene of an accident he caused at the intersection of Pittsburgh and Browns Hill roads. According to charging documents, Martin showed signs of impairment. Following a later blood test, his blood-alcohol content level was 0.240%. There also traces of cocaine, THC and benzodiazepines. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.
May 24 — Christopher J. Wright, 35, of Rochester, was charged with a felony for giving a false written statement while trying to purchase a firearm and misdemeanor giving a statement under penalty after police said he answered a question incorrectly when applying for a firearm at Dunham’s Sports in Center Township.
May 24 — Shawn M. Hoffman, 25, of Butler, was charged with a felony for giving a false written statement while trying to purchase a firearm and misdemeanor giving a statement under penalty after police said he answered a question incorrectly when applying for a firearm at Dunham’s Sports in Center Township.
