These items were collected from various police departments and district courts:

Butler

April 11 — Kelly V. Alexia, 58, of Lancaster Township, was charged with misdemeanor drug possession related to a March 22 discussion with police about a separate incident.

Police said as they were talking, officers spotted something in Alexia’s mouth. Police said they arrested Alexia and shortly after found a wet plastic baggie on the ground near where they talked. Police said the baggie contained stamp bags with white powder in them.

April 11 — Emily R. Andre, 18, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault related to an April 9 domestic incident at a Center Avenue apartment.

Police arrived and talked with the father of Andre’s children. The man told officers he and Andre were arguing about their children, when Andre began hitting him. Police said the man had fresh scratches and other injuries consistent with his story.

April 11 — Ronald L. Doctor, 58, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct related to an April 6 complaint made by a business on North Main Street.

Police said a business owner reported human feces had been deposited just outside the business’s back door, and an employee had stepped in it. Police said the same business owner asked a neighboring business for access to security cameras, which led to officers identifying Doctor as the man who left it there.

3:45 p.m. April 8 — Two people were arrested stemming from a domestic incident at a home on American Avenue.

Officers arrested Peter M. Schmitt, 43, of Butler, and a juvenile after officers saw physical injuries to both. Police filed charges the same day against Schmitt, including misdemeanor simple assault. It was unknown whether the juvenile was charged.

9:54 a.m. April 8 — Zacheria S. Summerville, 32, of Butler, was arrested and charged after an incident at a home on Virginia Avenue.

Police said they were investigating a different report, when a relative of Summerville’s told them he had kicked the door in. Police said they found evidence of damage to the door.

10:35 a.m. April 11 — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 8 and Litman Road.

Police said Skylar Roth, 27, of Butler, ran a red light and drove into a vehicle driven by Maureen Strawn, 52, of Valencia. Police said no one was injured.

6:52 p.m. April 9 — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 3002 and Acre Avenue.

Police said Kristy Farnen, 41, of Butler, was stopped for traffic, when her vehicle was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by a juvenile girl. Police said both drivers suffered minor injuries.

April 9 — Police are investigating the theft of items from an unlocked car along Old Plank Road near McQuistion Road, Butler Township.

Police said a gun and wallet were stolen, and they are asking anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area to call the department at 724-285-9600. Police also would like to remind the public to remove valuables and lock their vehicles at night.

State Police, Butler

April 8 — Christie L. Kendall, 49, of Moon Township, was charged with misdemeanor DUI related to a Feb. 9 report of a vehicle stopped off Route 422, one mile west of the South Shore exit, Muddy Creek Township.

Police found a vehicle still running and stationary in the grassy median between the eastbound and westbound lanes. Police said field sobriety tests showed Kendall was impaired, and a later blood test showed amphetamine and marijuana in her system.

April 8 — Joseph A. Rihel, 41, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor counts of DUI, drug possession, marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia following a single-vehicle crash on Franklin Street, Prospect.

Police found a tow company ready to pull a vehicle from an embankment it had traveled into. Witnesses told police they saw Rihel make multiple trips to a barn near the crash site. Police said Rihel admitted to using and having heroin and marijuana. Police said heroin and marijuana were found in the barn and taped to Rihel’s body.

Police said field sobriety tests showed Rihel was impaired, and a later blood test showed amphetamine, meth, marijuana, fentanyl and benzoylecgonine in his system.
