Police Reports
These items were collected from various police departments and district courts:
March 30 — Joel M. Little, 28, of Adams Township, was charged with misdemeanor DUI related to a March 30 report of an intoxicated man driving on Tamarack Drive, Adams Township.
A witness told police they saw Little hit his own garage and then leave. Police stopped the vehicle matching the report. Police said Little refused to complete field sobriety tests, but officers believed his mannerisms were enough indication that he was intoxicated. Police said Little also refused to have his breath tested.
March 21 — Jenna L. Wilson, 24, of Connoquenessing, was charged with misdemeanor DUI related to a report of a vehicle stopped in the middle of Three Degree Road, Adams Township.
Police found Wilson slumped over the wheel of her running vehicle. Police said the vehicle was in drive, and Wilson appeared to be having breathing difficulties. Police said field sobriety tests showed she was impaired, and a later blood test showed benzoylecgonine, methadone and fentanyl in her system. Police said they also found drug paraphernalia.
March 31 — Nahzier A. Muhammad, 23, of Washington, was charged with misdemeanor counts of terroristic threats and failure to relinquish a gun, related to a report by his roommate.
The roommate told police Muhammad had threatened him with a knife, and later told him to use his gun to kill someone to regain his trust. The roommate told police he said no.
Police said during a later search of Muhammad’s room, they found an AR-15-style rifle and a knife, both matching those described by the roommate’s account.
March 30 — Donald L. Scherer, 46, of Chicora, was charged with felony count of making a false statement while buying a gun, related to a March 24 attempt at Dicks Sporting Goods.
Police said Scherer was denied the ability to buy a shotgun. Police said Scherer failed to report his criminal history on the application.
March 28 — Daniel S. Schmiedel, 35, of Adams Township, is charged with misdemeanor DUI related to a March 24 report of a vehicle on train tracks near West Main Street and Pioneer Road, Evans City.
Police found Schmiedel trying to push the still-running vehicle off the tracks. Police said field sobriety tests showed Schmiedel was impaired, and a later blood test showed his blood-alcohol content at .110%. In Pennsylvania, a level of .08% or greater is considered intoxicated.
March 30 — Matthew W. Sheppeck, 29, of Butler Township, was charged with misdemeanor DUI after troopers spotted two men sleeping in a truck along Whitestown Road, Butler Township.
Police found the vehicle was still in drive. Police said when Sheppeck awoke in the driver’s seat, he showed troopers the middle finger. Police said field sobriety tests showed Sheppeck was impaired, and a later breath test showed his blood-alcohol content at .165%. In Pennsylvania, a level of .08% or greater is considered intoxicated.
Police also charged the passenger, Jesse J.L. Wahler, 28, of Butler Township, with marijuana possession. Police said Wahler was trying to hide an item while they investigated, and it turned out to be a plastic container with marijuana inside.
March 28 — Carl A. Mcilvaine, 26, of Rochester, was charged with misdemeanor DUI related to a March 28 report of an erratic driver along Interstate 79 in Jackson Township.
Police stopped Mcilvaine near the 85.6 milemarker and believed him to be intoxicated. Police said Mcilvaine had already been arrested for a separate DUI offense by state police in Mercer County from which he was released before being pulled over in Butler County. Police said Mcilvaine submitted a blood sample for testing, but the results were not listed in charging documents.
