Police Reports
The following items have been collected from various police departments:
March 16 — Thomas J. Clark, 29, of Butler, was charged with two counts of felony aggravated assault and misdemeanors terroristic threats and disorderly conduct after police said he attempted to escape a hospital bed at Butler Memorial Hospital and shouted obscenities and threats at a detective assigned to him and attempted to attack him.
March 21 — Michael D. Campbell, 35, of Evans City, was charged with felony retail theft after police said he left Walmart with an item valued at more than $330 without paying for it.
March 17 — Christine J. Taggart, 51, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor retail theft after police said she attempted to leave Walmart with more than $620 worth of items without paying for them.
March 16 — Lisa M. Coates, 57, of Butler, was charged with felony retail theft and multiple misdemeanors after police said she left Walmart with nearly $300 worth of items without paying for them.
March 28 — Jason P. Geibel, 33, of Butler, was charged with two counts of terroristic threats, two counts of false imprisonment, two counts of simple assault and two counts of harassment after police said he used screws to close the door of a residence from the inside while on methamphetamine. According to reports, Geibel walked about the residence with a hammer and used power tools to drill doors shut while speaking to invisible people and preventing other those inside the residence to leave.
March 21 — Devon J. Baptiste, 35, of Butler, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor endangering welfare of children after police said he nearly overdosed on heroin and his girlfriend died of an overdose on heroin with two children present. Police said Baptiste fled the scene with the children following the incident.
March 21 — Gregory J. Hesidence, 51, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor accidents involving damage to vehicle or property and summary offenses including failure to report to police after police said Hesidence fled the scene after causing an accident.
March 21 — Dakota J. Campbell, 31, of West Sunbury, was charged with a misdemeanor DUI unsafe driving and several summary traffic violations near 1230 Oneida Valley Road after police said he showed signs of impairment during field sobriety tests.
March 21 — Frank A. Hartle, 23, of Butler, was charged with five counts of misdemeanor DUI, misdemeanor DUI of blood-alcohol content 0.10%-0.16% and several summary traffic offenses after police said Hartle showed signs of impairment during field sobriety tests on Schnur Road in Summit Township. Following a blood test, Hartle’s blood-alcohol content level was 0.14%. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08% is considered intoxicated.
March 21 — Robert S. Rumbaugh, 19, of Chicora, was charged with two misdemeanor DUIs after police said he showed signs of impairment during field sobriety tests near 2270 Chicora Road in Fairview Township. Following a blood test, Rumbaugh’s blood-alcohol content level was 0.112%. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08% is considered intoxicated.
March 19 — Aaron J. Winklevoss, 22, of Greenville, was charged with a misdemeanor DUI and several summary traffic violations after police said he demonstrated signs of impairment during field sobriety tests on Kiester Road in Slippery Rock.
March 19 — Brandon D. McFadden, 22, of Slippery Rock, was charged with misdemeanor DUI after police said a blood test revealed McFadden’s blood-alcohol content to be 0.172%. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08% is considered intoxicated.
March 19 — Jevontae D. King-Walden, 20, of Ambridge, was charged with two misdemeanor DUIs after police said he showed signs of impairment during field sobriety tests on Midway Street in Slippery Rock. Following a blood test, King-Walden’s blood-alcohol content level was 0.07%. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08% is considered intoxicated.
March 18 — Edwin A. Callender, 30, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanors retail theft and receiving stolen property after police said Callender left Dunham’s Sporting Goods store in Center Township with nearly $200 worth of items without paying for them.
March 17 — Alex J. Edinger, 39, of Butler, was charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct after police said Edinger pushed and bit someone during an altercation.
March 16 — Isaiah M. Canterbury, 22, of Pittsburgh, was charged with two misdemeanor DUIs after police said Canterbury showed signs of impairment during field sobriety tests on South Main Street in Slippery Rock. A later blood test showed Canterbury’s blood to have traces of THC.
