Police Reports
The following items have been collected from various police departments:
Feb. 25 — Colin S. Kelly, 41, of Butler, was charged with driving under the influence and two summary traffic violations. Police said Kelly refused to submit to a blood test and admitted to huffing a can of electronics duster. He was placed in Butler County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail.
Feb. 22 — Caleb L. Galvin, 28, of Zelienople, was charged with retail theft after police said he left Walmart with nearly $370 worth of merchandise, abandoned them in the parking lot and fled the scene on foot when confronted Dec. 31.
Feb. 22 — Brittany L. N. Irvin, 30, of Butler, was charged with a misdemeanor theft of services after police said she failed to pay Holiday Inn nearly $615 for a seven-day stay.
Feb. 22 — Matthew R. Egerter, 23, of Portersville, was charged with retail theft after police said he left Walmart with $532 worth of merchandise, abandoned them in the parking lot and fled the scene in his vehicle when confronted.
Feb. 17 — Robert D. Cooper, 23, of McDonald, was charged with a first-offense of driving under the influence after police said he showed signs of impairment following field sobriety tests. After a breath test, Cooper’s blood-alcohol content level was 0.137%, according to documents. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08% is considered intoxicated.
Feb. 25 — Luke J. Brandon, 22, of Prospect, was charged with a felony count of strangulation, misdemeanor charges of simple assault and terroristic threats, and a summary charge of harassment after police said he grabbed his girlfriend by her throat and struck her head on a window of his vehicle in Slippery Rock. He was placed in Butler County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail.
Feb. 24 — Thomas J. Clark, 29, of Butler, was charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance after he allegedly fought with state police who were trying to take him into custody on an arrest warrant in the parking lot of a business on North Franklin Street in Prospect. Police said Clark struck a trooper twice and eventually was handcuffed with the help of a bystander. Police say Clark was in possession of nine stamp bags of heroin, three empty bags and a drug-scraping tool. Clark was committed to Butler County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail.
Feb. 22 — Michael L. Miller, 39, of Bruin, was charged with five felony counts of carrying firearms without a license and seven misdemeanors, including use and possession of drug paraphernalia and DUI of a controlled substance, Jan. 20.
Police said they observed a crack pipe in the center console of Miller’s vehicle and Miller was found to be impaired after field sobriety tests. His vehicle was impounded, and police said they discovered five loaded guns, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, suspected meth and various drug paraphernalia. Miller does not posses a valid concealed carry permit.
Feb. 22 — Arizonia R. Applegarth, 32, of West Sunbury, was charged with terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person, simple assault and summary charge of harassment after police said she threatened multiple people with a kitchen knife and had to be restrained.
Feb. 22 — Justin T. Victor, 31, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanors fleeing or attempting to elude an officer and unauthorized use of vehicle, and several summary charges May 2. Police said Victor left the scene after being pulled over, and that his mother had not given permission for the vehicle to leave the property.
Feb. 22 — Christopher R. Fattori, 31, of Butler, was charged with a first-offense DUI after police said he showed signs of impairment following field sobriety tests. Police said that a breath test showed Fattori’s blood-alcohol content level was 0.171%. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08% is considered intoxicated.
Feb. 22 — Glenn A. Cummins, 58, of Hilliards, was charged with a first offense DUI after police said he showed signs of impairment. Police said that a blood test showed Cummins’ blood-alcohol content level was 0.199%. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08% is considered intoxicated.
