Butler wrestlers get odd 72-0 win

The night was brief, yet productive.

Butler's wrestling team received pins from Ana Malovich, Kelley Schaukowitsch and Kase Chopp in shutting out New Castle, 72-0, on the road Wednesday night.

Those were the only three matches contested in the dual.

The Golden Tornado begin section competition next Wednesday at West Allegheny. They then travel to the Virginia National Duals in Hampton, Va., Jan. 14-15.

Besides Brody Simko's five-goal performance, Butler received a goal and assist from Kyle Grasha in a 6-5 overtime win over Montour Monday night.Grant Holt had an assist in the game and goaltender Andrew Hardsock made 24 saves.Butler plays Penn-Trafford at 8:30 p.m. Monday at Palmer Imaging Arena in Delmont.
