6:23 a.m. June 7 — Jedediah L. Owens-Vickers, 28, of Butler, was arrested and charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, stemming from a domestic dispute at Dunkin Donuts in Butler.Police said Owens-Vickers punched his girlfriend in the head multiple times. Police said when they arrived at the scene, they found the girlfriend walking toward them with blood on her face and in her hair.Police said Owens-Vickers was drunk and had bloody knuckles. Owens-Vickers was placed in jail on $10,000 bail.June 7 — Ronald A. Moculski, 31, was charged with a first-offense, controlled substance DUI following a June 1 vehicle crash on Center Avenue in Butler.Police said they found Moculski's vehicle crashed into a utility pole. According to police, Moculski said he swerved to avoid a cat in the road.Police said field sobriety tests showed Moculski was impaired, and Moculski later refused a blood test.June 7 — Danny R. Thompson, 38, of Butler, was charged with a first-offense, controlled substance DUI following a May 2 report of a man asleep in his vehicle in the area of East Penn and North Elm streets in Butler.Police said they arrived at the scene and found Thompson sitting in his running vehicle with his foot on the brake and staring straight ahead. Police said as Thompson stepped out of the vehicle, they saw a small amount of suspected crack cocaine in the door handle.Police said field sobriety tests showed Thompson was impaired.June 3 — Aaron S. Wiemelt, 31, of Butler, was charged with disorderly conduct and harassment following a May 16 argument between neighbors on North Main Street.Police said Wiemelt used racial slurs toward a neighbor at the apartment complex. Police said as Wiemelt spoke with officers, he continued to yell expletives and make obscene gestures toward his neighbors.Police said they determined Wiemelt has routinely harassed other residents at the complex.

June 8 — Dawnetta L. Mentzer, 55, of Butler, was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, stemming from a June 3 probation check on her Penn Street home.Police said probation officers found suspected crack cocaine, 21 suboxone strips and two used crack pipes during the check.

June 8 — Steven R. Arnold, 37, of Mars, was charged with felony making a false statement while buying a gun and a misdemeanor making a false statement.Police said Arnold tried and failed to buy a 9mm pistol July 13, 2020. Police said Arnold answered a question incorrectly that prohibited him from buying a gun.June 3 — Patrick I. James, 22, of Butler, was arrested and charged with simple assault and harassment following a domestic dispute with his girlfriend.Police said the girlfriend told officers James was drunk, and the two were arguing, when James punched her in the face. The girlfriend alleged she lost consciousness and woke up with James still on top of her and still hitting her in the face and head.Police said the girlfriend had apparent injuries to her face, and they were photographed as evidence.

June 7 — Wendy M. Wiggins, 34, of Franklin, was charged with retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia related to the theft of about $971 worth of items from Walmart in Cranberry Township.Police said they spotted Wiggins in a vehicle matching the description given by a store employee. Police said Wiggins admitted to stealing the items, which included a push lawn mower, weed wacker, vacuum, bookbag, clothing and food.Police said they also found a glass smoking pipe in Wiggins' purse.June 3 — Gerald J. Gagnon Jr., 46, of Pittsburgh, was charged with retail theft, receiving stolen property and public drunkenness, in relation to a TV stolen from Walmart and keys stolen from a woman.Police said Gagnon was drunk when they first spoke with him in Walmart, where they said he tried to leave without paying for a TV and after trying to leave with the car keys of a woman with whom he was with at the store.Police said the woman brought the theft to the attention of store employees.

June 8 — Jeffrey B. Taylor, 42, of Butler, and Pati E. Brodmerkel, 29, of Butler, were both charged with counterfeiting, theft and having stolen property related to a June 7 theft in Center Township.Police said Taylor stole a Vera Bradley wallet from an unlocked car in a driveway along Cheyenne Drive. Police said both Taylor and Brodmerkel then used a credit card inside the wallet multiple times.June 6 — Michael C. Summerill Jr., 34, of Valencia, was charged with defiant trespassing and harassment related to a domestic dispute with a woman.Police said the woman told officers Summerill had shoved her to the ground and got on top of her because she wouldn’t date him, before fleeing as police arrived.Police said Summerill returned to the woman’s home, where her friends held him down until police arrived. Police said Summerill had kicked in the front door, and he told officers he just wanted to get his phone.June 5 — Katherine M. Kelly, 34, of Butler, was charged with a first-offense DUI, child endangerment and reckless endangerment following a one-vehicle crash on Country Club Road in Franklin Township.Police said they saw beers in the driver’s side door and center console, when they approached the crash scene. Police said Kelly was pregnant at the time of the crash, and her 5-year-old daughter and another person were passengers in the vehicle.Police said field sobriety tests showed Kelly was impaired, and she later declined blood testing.June 5 — Timothy E. Turner, 42, of Meadville, was charged with a first-offense, controlled substance DUI following a March 27 two-vehicle crash on Interstate 79 in Worth Township.Police said Turner struggled and was unable to conduct most field sobriety tests, and later blood testing showed marijuana in his system.June 4 — Lindsay L. Grills, 31, of Slippery Rock, was charged with a first-offense DUI following a June 3 vehicle crash on Grove City Road in Slippery Rock.Police said they found Grills near her vehicle, which was over a small embankment and wedged against some pine trees.Police said field sobriety tests showed Grills was impaired, and a breath test showed her blood-alcohol content at 0.135%. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08% is considered intoxicated.June 4 — Jason S. Dengel, 33, of Ellwood City, was charged with a first-offense DUI following a May 23 motorcycle crash.Police said Dengel and his passenger were treated at the scene by EMS. Police said field sobriety tests showed Dengel was impaired, and a breath test showed his blood-alcohol content was “well over the legal limit.”The specific blood-alcohol content was not available in the affidavit. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08% is considered intoxicated.June 4 — Christine M. Nye, 32, of Slippery Rock, was charged with a first-offense, controlled substance DUI, stemming from a May 23 traffic stop in Oakland Township.Police said Nye had her two children in the car when she was stopped for driving under the posted speed limit. Police said field sobriety tests showed Nye was impaired, and they found marijuana and a glass pipe in the vehicle.June 3 — Christopher A. Hughes, 39, of Renfrew, was charged with a first-offense, controlled substance DUI, stemming from an April 12 traffic stop on Campbell Street in Butler.Police said field sobriety tests showed Hughes was impaired, and later blood tests showed multiple controlled substances in his system. The specific substances were not listed in the affidavit.

June 7 — Christopher L. Lavery, 49, of Four Oaks, N.C., was charged with a first-offense, controlled substance DUI, stemming from a March 20 traffic stop on Route 422 in Clearfield Township.Police said they stopped the vehicle for crossing lines on the road. Police said field sobriety tests showed Lavery was impaired, and officers found marijuana in the vehicle. Police said a later blood test showed marijuana in Lavery’s system.
