May 30 — Police are investigating reported vandalism along Meridian Road.Police said the suspect shot glass marbles at houses. Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact the Butler Township Police.
May 26 — Adam M. Anderson, 29, of Slippery Rock, was charged with possessing an offensive weapon, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after a May 19 home visit by probation officers.Detectives said probation officers found several hundred used stamp bags, 24 needles, several used pipes, a small amount of marijuana, prescription bottles, two brass knuckles and four full stamp bags of suspected heroin or fentanyl.
May 26 — Ciara J. Turner, 19, of Turtle Creek, was charged with a first-offense, controlled substance DUI, stemming from a March 28 traffic stop on Main Street in Slippery Rock.Police said they stopped the vehicle for tinted windows. Police said field sobriety tests showed Turner was impaired, and blood tests later showed marijuana in her system.May 26 — Brandon A. Ferrari, 28, of New Castle, was charged with a first-offense, controlled substance DUI, stemming from an April 22 traffic stop in Muddy Creek Township.Police said they stopped the vehicle for tinted windows. Police said field sobriety tests showed Ferrari was impaired, and a later blood test was conducted. The results of the blood test were not available in charging documents.May 26 — Michelle L. Barth, 30, of Slippery Rock, was charged with a first-offense DUI, stemming from a March 27 traffic stop on Main Street in Slippery Rock.Police said they stopped the vehicle for a number of traffic violations, including crossing lines on the road. Police said field sobriety tests showed Barth was impaired, and a later breath test showed her blood-alcohol content at .092%.In Pennsylvania, a level of .08% is considered intoxicated.May 26 — Tyson A. Andrada, 24, of Greenville, was charged with a first-offense, controlled substance DUI stemming from a March 12 traffic stop on Route 422 in Franklin Township.Police said they stopped the vehicle for speeding at about 75 mph in a 55 mph zone. Police said field sobriety tests showed Andrada was impaired, and a later blood test showed marijuana in his system.
May 5 — Nolan L. Wilkes, 55, of Pittsburgh was charged with patronizing a prostitute after allegedly responding to a sex advertisement posted by undercover agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. An undercover agent posing as a prostitute met Wilkes at a hotel in Cranberry Township, where he was arrested.
