March 15 — Anthony J. Mastandrea, 28, of Pittsburgh, was charged with a first-offense DUI stemming from a March 13 traffic stop on Lilac Lane in Brady Township. Police stopped Mastandrea because his vehicle's registration was expired.Police said a field sobriety test indicated Mastandrea was impaired, and a later breath test indicated his blood-alcohol content to be 0.166%. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08% is considered intoxicated.March 15 — Michael E. Juliano, 47, of Buena Vista, Pa., was charged with a first-offense DUI stemming from a March 12 traffic stop on Staff Road. According to charging documents, police stopped Juliano because he was driving under the speed limit and the vehicle's registration was expired.Police said Juliano admitted to drinking earlier that night, and a field sobriety test indicated he was impaired.Juliano provided two breath samples, the lower of the two being 0.206% for blood-alcohol content. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08% is considered intoxicated.March 15 — John T. Emminger, 24, of Saxonburg, was charged with a first-offense DUI after a one-vehicle crash March 13 on Victory Road in Jefferson Township. Emminger was driving a White Ford Crown Victoria when he lost control and crashed off the side of the road.Police said Emminger left the scene and went home, and he claimed he drank two beers after getting home. Police put Emminger through field sobriety tests, which allegedly showed he was impaired.Police arrested Emminger, who later gave a blood sample, which showed his blood-alcohol content at 0.118%. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08% is considered intoxicated.March 15 — Three women were charged with marijuana-related offenses after a Feb. 18 traffic stop.Police stopped the driver, Shannon M. Rearick, 25, of Mars, because they smelled marijuana while driving behind her vehicle, which was the only one on the road at the time.Police said they also smelled marijuana as they approached the vehicle. According to documents, Rearick admitted to police she had been smoking the drug.Police said a field sobriety test showed Rearick was impaired, and a later blood draw confirmed marijuana was in her system. Rearick has been charged with a first-offense DUI.Police also asked two passengers, Theresa L. Davidson, 57, of Mars, and Emily L. Rearick, 25, of Mars, to exit the vehicle during the stop.Davidson initially told police there was no marijuana in the vehicle, but later gave them the remains of a marijuana cigarette. She has been charged with marijuana possession.Police said they also found a vaporizer pen located in Emily Rearick's pocket, and she admitted it contained THC. She has been charged with marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia possession.
