7:11 p.m. Tuesday — Kassidy Hay, 21, of Butler, suffered minor injuries when the car she was riding in struck an embankment and a small tree along Decatur Drive. The driver, Robert Kaplowitz, 23, of Butler, was not injured. The car had to be towed.

7:49 a.m. Tuesday — Kelley T. Streib, 55, of Cranberry Township, lost control of her car and struck a fence on Valencia Road just south of Leisie Road in Forward Township. She was not injured, but her car had to be towed. Police cited her for driving too fast for conditions.7:39 a.m. Tuesday — No one was injured when Sydney L. Migliore, 20, of Beaver Falls, Beaver County, lost control of her sport utility vehicle and crossed the center line on Route 488 just east of Miller Road Muddy Creek Township, hitting another SUV traveling in the opposing lane.Police said neither Migliore nor the other driver, Klanci L. Kriess, 31, of Butler, was injured. Migliore was cited for disregarding traffic lanes.6:02 p.m. Monday — Two people were injured in a one-vehicle wreck in Connoquenessing Township. The crash occurred when an SUV driven by Travis A. Young, 22, of Butler, struck a tree along Shannon Road. He and his passenger, Denis E. Young, 57, of Butler, were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.Police cited Travis Young for driving too fast for conditions and disregarding lanes.Nov. 24 — Tools and other items, valued at a combined $115, were stolen from the inside of a backhoe that was parked on Route 68 near Magnolia Road in Fairview Township. Taken were two tow chains, a level, road flags and leather gloves. Police said the theft occurred between midnight and 5 a.m. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.Nov. 23 — Police charged Jan H. Lees, 65, of Butler, with trying to illegally purchase a handgun in March at a Clearview Mall store in Center Township. She allegedly provided false information on a background check from March 18 when she attempted to buy a 9 mm pistol at Rural King.Lees is charged with unlawfully attempting to buy a firearm, a felony, and unsworn falsification to authorities, a misdemeanor.8:47 p.m. Nov. 21 — A Beaver County man was arrested for drunken driving after a speeding stop in Clearfield Township. Police said they stopped Paul A. McKee, 49, of New Brighton, for going 78 mph in a 55 mph zone on Route 422 east near McGrady Road.McKee eventually was taken for a breath test, which allegedly showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.124 percent. He is charged with DUI, speeding and careless driving.8:06 p.m. Nov. 19 — A 30-year-old Bradford County man was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a traffic stop on Interstate 79 south in Muddy Creek Township. Police did not release the name of the man, who was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test. Charges are pending lab results.Nov. 19 — McHayla M. Hoffman, 19, of Clay Township, was charged with posting an intimate image of a girl on Snapchat. The victim reported the incident May 22, police said.Police later obtained a search warrant for the defendant's Snapchat account, which showed she posted intimate images of the girl.Hoffman is charged with unlawful dissemination of an intimate image and cyber harassment of a child, both misdemeanors.Nov. 18 — Police charged two Berks County women stemming from a September traffic stop in Buffalo Township that they said turned up nine bags of suspected marijuana and other drug contraband. One of the defendants, Jessica B. Thomas, 26, of Reading, is facing felony drug and other charges, including driving under the influence of a controlled substance.Thomas was pulled over around 8:30 p.m. Sept. 25 for multiple traffic violations on Route 28 north, police said. She appeared impaired, according to court documents, and police subsequently searched her car, finding the bags of suspected marijuana in the trunk, a baggie containing marijuana cigarettes, a marijuana grinder and rolling papers.Police took her to ACMH in East Franklin Township, Armstrong County, for a blood test, which allegedly indicated she had marijuana in her system.Thomas is charged with felony and misdemeanor drug possession and 10 misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. She also is charged with DUI and nine traffic violations.A back seat passenger, Tanya M. Thomas, 25, of Reading, documents said, was found with a Taser and an open bottle of rum. She is charged with a prohibited offensive weapon and possession of an open container of alcohol in a vehicle.Nov. 18 — James R. Pint, 38, of Center Township, was arraigned on charges he illegally attempted to buy a firearm earlier this year at a Center Township store. He is accused of providing false information on a background check form that was required April 16 when he tried to buy the unspecified gun at the Clearview Mall Rural King.Pint is charged with unlawfully attempting to buy a firearm, a felony, and unsworn falsification to authorities, a misdemeanor. He is free on his own recognizance.Oct. 15 — Police charged Amanda J. Gibson, 38, of Portersville, with being more than twice the state's legal limit for alcohol stemming from a September one-vehicle wreck in Slippery Rock Township. Police said the wreck occurred around 1:20 a.m. Sept. 16 on Route 108 near Old Forge Road.Gibson eventually was taken to Grove City Medical Center for a blood test, according to court documents, which indicated her blood-alcohol level was 0.174 percent. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated.She is charged with driving under the influence, disregarding traffic lanes and failing to keep right.

3:58 p.m. Nov. 21 — An unknown shoplifter made off with a vacuum, valued at $300, at Walmart on West Main Street Extension in Pine Township. The suspect, who left in a burgundy van without paying for the merchandise, is described as a black male. He was wearing a Pittsburgh Steelers' beanie and a Steelers' sweatshirt. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-662-6162.
