2:13 p.m. Monday — One person was injured in a three-vehicle, chain-reaction crash on New Castle Road near Barracks Road. The wreck occurred when a vehicle driven by Corey Child, 47, of Butler, rear-ended another vehicle driven by Brian Tilman Jr., 30, of Butler.In turn, according to a police report, Tilman's vehicle was pushed into the back of a 17-year-old driver's vehicle. A passenger in Tilman's vehicle was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries.Police cited Child for driving too fast for conditions.

9:34 p.m. Sept. 23 — Tyler R. Keenan, 19, of Gibsonia, was arrested for suspicion of DUI after a traffic stop on Interstate 79 North in Cranberry Township. Police said Keenan was taken to UPMC Passavant hospital for a blood draw. Charges are pending lab results.Sept. 21 — Two flat-screen televisions were reported stolen in a burglary at a home on Canterbury Lane in Connoquenessing Township. The victim, a 33-year-old woman, told police that the break-in occurred between Sept. 16 and 21.Police said it appeared the home was entered after a window air-conditioning unit was removed. The stolen TVs were described as 43-inch RCA model and a 55-inch Element model. A police report did not indicate if there are any suspects.Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.Sept. 23 — Police charged Nathan A. Carben, 27, of Oakland Township, with being more than twice the state's legal limit for alcohol stemming from a June one-vehicle crash in Summit Township. He was seriously injured in the wreck around 1 a.m. June 14 on Route 422 East, police said, and a medical helicopter flew him to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.According to court documents, the wreck occurred when a pickup Carben was driving struck numerous lane markers, guardrails and concrete barriers before hitting a parked trailer in a construction zone on Route 422, west of the Mitchell Hill Road exit.Police said that due to his injuries, Carben could not give a reason for the wreck. But social media posts by Carben, documents said, “indicated that he had been drinking while golfing earlier in the day (and) then spent time in a bar prior to the crash.”A search warrant later obtained by police for a blood test, documents said, showed Carben's blood-alcohol level was 0.164 percent. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated.In addition to driving under the influence, he is charged with reckless driving.9:11 p.m. Sept. 17 — Robbie Spithaler, 38, of Butler, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after a report of an erratic driver on Mahood Road in Center Township. Police said they found Spithaler in the parking lot of a store on Route 8 in Brady Township.Sept. 18 — Police charged Kevin M. Victor, 31, of Butler, with having marijuana and other contraband stemming from a traffic stop earlier in the month in Butler Township. He was stopped around 1:45 a.m. Sept. 6 at New Castle Road and Malwood Drive. He is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and a rear lighting violation.9:30 p.m. Sept. 17 — A car driven by Timothy L. White, 39, of Butler, struck a tree along Aggas Road in Center Township. Police said he fled the scene after the wreck that left him with an apparent minor injury. The wreck also damaged the grass on a home's property, and the car had to be towed.White was cited for hit-and-run, disregarding traffic lanes, driving a vehicle without valid inspection and vehicle registration card violation.Sept. 17 — Police charged Gerald L. Stover, 36, of West Mifflin, Allegheny County, with drugged driving stemming from a traffic stop earlier in the month in Jackson Township. He was pulled over around 10:30 p.m. Sept. 3 on I-79 North.A subsequent search of the vehicle, according to a police report, turned up suspected marijuana and other drug contraband.Stover is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, speeding, disregarding traffic lanes and driving too slow for conditions.1:15 a.m. Sept. 16 — Amanda J. Gibson, 38, of Portersville, was injured when she lost control of her car and struck an embankment and overturned on Route 108 at Old Forge Road in Slippery Rock Township. She was taken to Grove City Medical Center with facial injuries.“During the crash investigation it was discovered (Gibson) was driving under the influence,” according to a police report.11:03 p.m. Sept. 15 — Terry Williams, 56, of Butler, was arrested after police said he gave a trooper a bogus name following a traffic stop in Butler. Police said he was a passenger in a car that was pulled over at Hansen and Goldwood avenues for having a faulty brake light.Williams is accused of giving the trooper a fake name. Police later used a mobile fingerprint reader to obtain his identity, according to court documents. Police also learned that he was wanted on a bench warrant. He was taken to the Butler County Prison for the warrant.Police charged him with false identification to law enforcement authorities in connection with the traffic stop.3:33 a.m. Sept. 15 — A sport utility vehicle driven by Colby A. Best, 20, of Parker, sideswiped a utility pole along Route 268 in Bruin. He was cited for driving too fast for conditions.1:29 p.m. Sept. 14 — A Clarion County man lost control of his car apparently after suffering a medical condition and struck a tree along Dickey Road just east of Beachem Lane in Worth Township. The driver, Robert J. Seary, 49, of Sligo, suffered a suspected minor injury in the wreck.Sept. 14 — Police charged Jessica L. Cole, 39, of Summit Township, with drugged driving stemming from an August traffic incident in Parker Township. She allegedly struck a mailbox with her car shortly before 6:30 p.m. Aug. 28 on Route 268.Later, according to court documents, Cole showed impairment during an evaluation by a police drug recognition expert. She was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test, however, documents said, two phlebotomists “made unsuccessful attempts of drawing blood.”In addition to driving under the influence of a controlled substance, she is charged with hit-and-run, driving with a suspended license and disregarding traffic lanes.Sept. 14 — Dacota J. Skiver, 22, of Eau Claire, was charged with DUI in connection with an August traffic stop in Clay Township. Police said he was stopped shortly after 1 a.m. Aug. 22 at Hall and Claytonia roads.Police said Skiver eventually was taken for a breath test, which allegedly showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.111 percent. He is charged with DUI, speeding, failing to keep right, careless driving and not wearing a seat belt.
