These items have been collected from various police departments.

1:44 a.m. Saturday — David R. Davenport III, 48, of Butler was stopped driving with a DUI-related suspended license in the area of East Wayne and South Main Streets. He was pulled over in a pickup truck that allegedly did not have its headlights on.

Davenport, who has at least three prior suspension-DUI related convictions, was again charged with the same misdemeanor. Police also cited him for a lighting violation.

Nov. 20 — Police charged Brent D. Kennard, 30, of Butler with giving them a bogus name following a traffic stop last month on West Cunningham Street. He was a passenger in a pickup truck that police pulled over around 5:53 p.m. Oct. 11 for having an expired registration.

Police knew Kennard was wanted on a bench warrant, according to court documents, but when an officer asked for his name, he allegedly provided a phony one. He was subsequently placed in the Butler County Prison.

He is charged with false identification to law enforcement authorities.

11:02 p.m. Nov. 19 — Robert C. Lary, 49, of Butler allegedly lied about his identity after police stopped him for failing to use a turn signal while driving a minivan on the 300 block of East Penn Street.

Lary is charged with false identification to law enforcement authorities, driving with a suspended license, driving a vehicle without valid inspection and failing to use turn signals.

Tuesday — Brooke M. Kobert, 34, of Butler was charged with felony shoplifting stemming from a May incident at the Sheetz store on New Castle Road. He allegedly failed to pay for merchandise valued at $6.39.Because of her criminal record, which includes more than two convictions for shoplifting, Kobert is charged with a felony count of retail theft.

4:20 p.m. Saturday — A Maryland woman lost control of her car at Harmony and Shields roads in Mercer Township and struck an embankment. The driver, Kerry B. Nobles, 21, of Nottingham, was not injured, but her car had to be towed. Police said she was cited for disregarding traffic lanes.Nov. 20 — Cody M. Johnston, 23, of Penn Township was arrested on charges he illegally tried to buy a firearm at a Summit Township gun store in July.Johnston is accused of providing false information on an application that was required July 8 when he attempted to buy a 9 mm pistol at Sportsman’s Supply Company on Route 356.When his information was entered into the Pennsylvania Instant Check system, an automated system by which gun dealers can determine if someone can legally buy a gun in the state, he was denied the purchase.Johnston was arraigned on a felony charge of unlawfully attempting to buy a firearm and a misdemeanor charge of unsworn falsification to authorities. He was released on his own recognizance following arraignment.Nov. 19 — A felony arrest warrant was issued for Cody L. Hockenberry, 31, on several charges, including that he left pills and drug contraband on a bedside table while his two children, ages 4 and 5, slept in the bed at his home on Orchard Valley Road in Muddy Creek TownshipThe charges stem from an incident Nov. 16 when the defendant’s mother called police to the home around 3 a.m. She told police that she found Hockenberry under the influence of drugs and unconscious in the bathroom, according to court documents.Later, when he awakened, the woman allegedly recounted, her son struck her in the mouth and pulled her hair.A search of the home, police said, turned up two stamp bags and 13 empty stamp bags containing an unknown drug, a plastic bag containing six pills of suspected quetiapine fumarate, a syringe, metal spoon with suspected drug residue and other contraband.Documents noted that the pills, four empty stamp bags and the spoon were “within arm’s reach and easily accessible to both children.” Hockenberry is charged with two felony counts of child endangerment.Additionally, he is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and one count each of possession of drug paraphernalia and harassment.Nov. 19 — Police charged two men with having marijuana stemming from a traffic stop May 2 on Harmony Road in Slippery Rock Township. The defendants — Austin T. Freeman, 23, of Pittsburgh and Duy Q. Nguyen, 22, of North Versailles — were both passengers in the vehicle pulled over for a possible tinted window violation.A search of Freeman turned up a plastic bag containing a large bud of suspected marijuana in Freeman’s sock, according to court documents. Nguyen was found with a plastic bag in his pants that allegedly contained three large buds of suspected marijuana.Both defendants are charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana.Nov. 18 — Shannon E. Gizienski, 29, of Butler was arrested on charges she illegally attempted to buy a pistol at a Summit Township gun store in January.Police said she provided false information on an application that was required Jan. 28 when she tried to buy a 9 mm handgun at Sportsman’s Supply Company on Route 356.Gizienski was arraigned on a felony charge of unlawfully attempting to buy a firearm and a misdemeanor charge of unsworn falsification to authorities. She is free on her own recognizance following arraignment.12:01 p.m. Nov. 14 — No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Route 68 just south of Goose Haven Lane in Connoquenessing Township. The collision occurred when Adam J. Knauer, 23, of Connoquenessing pulled his car into the path of a minivan driven by Rebecca H. Patterson, 58, of Butler.Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Knauer was cited for disregarding traffic lanes.
