Butler PoliceMonday — Diane L. Christie, 63, of Summit Township was charged with being more than two times the state’s legal limit for alcohol following a one-vehicle crash Sept. 23 on South Cliff Street at Center Avenue.Police said Christie wrecked her car around 8:45 p.m. into a concrete stairwell of a building. A breath test later allegedly showed her blood-alcohol level was 0.177 percent. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated.She is charged with driving under the influence. Court documents noted that Christie has two prior DUI convictions.10:39 a.m. Sept. 14 — Charmaine P. Fetterman, 48, of Butler was arrested after she allegedly punched and slapped a man during a domestic dispute at a Center Avenue home.The victim, who had a scratch on his left cheek and red marks near his left ear, told police that Fetterman got angry with him over seeing a text on his cell phone, according to court documents.She was arraigned on a charge of simple assault. She is free on $1,500 bail.
Butler Twp Police11:55 p.m. Tuesday — Jeffrey W. Hall, 52, of Butler landed in trouble with the law after he allegedly caused a disturbance at Old Plank Estates. Police said he was pounding on a neighboring apartment building, which awakened tenants.Officers found Hall “highly intoxicated” in the parking lot, according to a police report. Moments later, police said, he fell and struck his head on the blacktop pavement.He is charged with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.10:26 p.m. Tuesday — Stephen J. Kamer, 19, of Saxonburg was injured when he lost control of a vehicle on Sawmill Run Road near the Butler Sewage Authority pump, and struck a guardrail and utility pole.Police said he suffered minor injuries to his nose, but refused medical treatment. He was cited for driving too fast for conditions.7:45 a.m. Tuesday — Bryan R. Leonard, 35, of Butler was arrested after he was allegedly caught with suspected heroin and in a state of undress at Alameda Park. Police said they were called to the park for an “out of control” man.“Officers encountered Leonard, who had stripped off most of his clothing and was rolling around on the ground,” according to a police report. He subsequently searched and allegedly found with two stamp bags of suspected heroin.He was arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $1,000 bond following arraignment.
