These items have been collected from various police departments.

10:45 p.m. Tuesday — Toby Morrison, 31, was arrested for violating a woman's protection from abuse order after he allegedly showed up at her city home and threatened her.

District Judge Lewis Stoughton arraigned Morrison on a charge of indirect criminal contempt. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $25,000 bail following arraignment.

Monday — Kelsee A. Thompson, 26, who has no known address, was arrested in the suspected theft of a cell phone June 11 from a man's home on the 100 block of West New Castle Street. The phone is valued at $70.

Thompson was arraigned on a charge of theft, and she was released on her own recognizance.

Monday — Athena L. Tompai, 29, of Penn Township was charged with having heroin and other contraband stemming from a suspicious vehicle on Short Street.

Police said they found Tompai and a man in a car parked behind the Arbors apartments around 8:30 p.m. June 6. She was in the driver's seat of the vehicle.

A subsequent search of the car turned up a case for sunglasses that was under the driver's seat and contained two stamp bags of suspected heroin, according to court documents. The case also allegedly held two capped syringes, a spoon and a clonazepam pill.

Police said they also found a crack pipe in the driver's side door.

Tompai is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

10:51 p.m. Sunday — Roy A. Gibson, 38, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his wife during a domestic dispute at their apartment on the 300 block of Virginia Avenue.

Police said Gibson held the victim by the upper arms, “causing pain and fingerprint bruising on both (arms).”

He was arraigned on a charge of simple assault and released on non-monetary bail.

1:18 a.m. Sunday — Sanika R. Pitts, 46, of Butler was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence on Route 8. Police said they stopped her after getting a call for a sport utility vehicle “all over the (road).”

Before she was pulled over, according to court documents, an officer saw her traveling the wrong way on Route 8 near Cooledge Street and nearly collided with another vehicle after crossing the double yellow line.

Pitts allegedly admitted to having one alcohol drink before driving. She was eventually taken to the station for a breath test, which allegedly showed her blood-alcohol level was 0.116 percent. A level of 0.08 percent in considered intoxicated under state law.

In addition to DUI, she is charged with driving without a license and failing to keep right.

2:41 p.m. Monday — Laura M. Bechtold, 34, of Mars was arrested for driving under the influence following a call for a woman believed to be intoxicated in a sport utility vehicle at the Adams Shoppes parking lot.Police said Bechtold showed impairment during field sobriety testing. She also allegedly admitted to having consumed alcohol earlier that day. She refused to submit to a blood test.She was arraigned on a charge of driving under the influence and later released on non-monetary bail.

8:35 a.m. June 13 — Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on the 300 block of West Main Street that police said was caused by a Butler County man.The wreck occurred when a truck driven by Robert M. Codispot, 31, of Clay Township veered across two lanes and collided with a van driven by Jake McAlexander, 29, of Brookville, Jefferson County. A police report did not identify the injured, who were taken to Grove City Medical Center with unspecified injuries.Both vehicles had to be towed. The report noted that charges are pending against Codispot.

Monday — A green 1997 Chevrolet pickup truck was reported stolen from the 500 block of Route 356 in Jefferson Township. The truck was taken sometime between 7 p.m. Sunday and 9:30 a.m. Monday.A police report noted that the truck, when taken, was missing a license plate and had minor damage to the right rear quarter panel.Police said there are no suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.Monday — An unknown thief stole two flashlights and a bag containing bath towels from a vehicle at a home on the 2000 block of Bonniebrook Road in Jefferson Township. The items were taken between 9 p.m. Sunday and 5:30 a.m. Monday.Anyone with information is asked to call police.10:37 p.m. Sunday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Khondaker F. Ahmed, 54, of Monroeville, Allegheny County, struck a deer on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township. He and his two passengers were not hurt, but the vehicle sustained moderate damage.Saturday — Food stamp and child support cards were among the items stolen from a vehicle at the owner's home at the Brady Hills Mobile Home Park in Brady Township. The theft occurred between 12:01 a.m. and 10 a.m.Also taken was a Ziploc bag containing about $20 in coins. Anyone with information is asked to call police.5:05 p.m. June 14 — Two people were hurt in a vehicle crash on Route 19 in Portersville.A 16-year-old Cranberry Township girl was driving with two passengers, Sandra Verity, 73, and a 14-year-old boy, both of Cranberry Township. The two children suffered suspected minor injuries. They were treated at the scene.The girl, whom police did not identify, was driving a 2016 car, according to a police report, and failed to yield to oncoming traffic while making a left turn from Route 488 onto Route 19.Terri Yaromey, 59, of Fombell, Beaver County, was the other driver. She was not injured, but her car had to be towed.2:30 p.m. June 14 — A hitchhiker reported stolen property after people giving him a ride took off with his items still in their vehicle at a Butler County truck stop.The 63-year-old Pittsburgh man said that he was hitchhiking from New York City to Pittsburgh when two people picked him up in a car.He told police that the group stopped around 2:30 p.m. at the Pilot Travel Center on Route 422 near the Interstate 79 south interchange in Muddy Creek Township. He recounted that the couple left with his laptop and a deactivated cell phone while he was inside the store buying refreshments.A police report noted that no witnesses were found, and there was no video surveillance that corroborated the man's account.June 9 — Police reported that an unknown thief last month fraudulently accessed a 42-year-old Parker Township woman's debit account.The suspect, according to a police report, on or around May 28 made five unauthorized online purchases totaling $883.20.7:35 a.m. June 6 — Kyle Dillon, 28, of Boyers was hurt when his pickup truck's brakes apparently failed, causing the vehicle to crash into an embankment and roll over on Black Road in Marion Township.Dillon, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered an apparent minor injury.6:19 p.m. June 3 — An SUV driven by Julie L. Hays, 49, of Butler struck a car while turning at Route 68 and Davis Road in Oakland Township. Margaret Harper, 52, of Chicora was the other driver. Neither driver was injured; both were wearing seat belts.8 p.m. May 30 — Bruce Cooper, 62, of Cabot was reaching for his cell phone that slid onto the floor when he lost control of his pickup truck and crashed into a traffic signal pole on Neupert Road just south of Route 356 in Jefferson Township. The investigation continues.
