May 17 — Kimberly A. Weibel, 36, of Butler was charged with having drugs and other contraband in a vehicle last year at a Route 8 south motel. She was allegedly found around 11 p.m. Nov. 4 with suspected heroin in the Days Inn's parking lot.

Police said she also had three syringes and two crack pipes.

Weibel is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

3:35 a.m. May 13 — Brandon L. Russell, 26, of Butler was caught allegedly stealing $156.66 in merchandise from the Butler Commons' Walmart. Police noted that he was previously banned from the store for a prior incident.

Russell is charged with misdemeanor retail theft and summary trespass.

April 30 — Tommi E. Coyle, 23, of Butler was charged with being more than three times the state's legal limit for alcohol stemming from a March traffic stop on West Airport Road.Police said Coyle was stopped after an officer saw her car cross the white fog line a short time earlier on Route 8. She was also allegedly seen weaving in her lane after turning onto West Airport Road.The defendant admitted that she was coming from a Meridian bar and she subsequently showed impairment during field sobriety testing, according to court documents.She was taken to Butler police station for a breath test that allegedly showed her blood-alcohol level was 0.255 percent. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated. Coyle is charged with driving under the influence and disregarding traffic lanes.

May 16 — Jesus Almendariz Jr., 33, of Penn Township was charged with assaulting a woman stemming from a domestic dispute last year at a home on Seminole Trail in Center Township. The alleged incident occurred around 11:15 p.m. Aug. 2.The victim told police that Almendariz punched her at least three times in the stomach, court documents said. He also allegedly wrapped his arms around her.Almendariz is charged with simple assault and harassment.May 16 — Police charged three Butler County men with having marijuana and other drug contraband stemming from a traffic stop last year in Center Township. Philip A. Lawson, 30, of Center Township, the driver, was pulled over around 2:30 a.m. Oct. 3 for a traffic violation on Mahood Road.A trooper smelled marijuana coming form the vehicle, according to court documents, which led to a search. Lawson was allegedly found with a plastic container that had marijuana. He also had smoking pipes, a bong and other drug-related items.Police said Bryan J. Fry, 24, of Concord Township, a passenger, had a glass container and plastic baggie with marijuana as well as pipes and a marijuana grinder.Dustyn P. Rihel Fry, 21, of Clay Township, another passenger, documents said, was found with a plastic container with marijuana, a pipe and rolling papers.All three men are charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.Lawson also was charged with driving an unregistered vehicle and disregarding traffic lanes.May 3 — Police charged Timothy M. Clark, 58, with inappropriately touching a woman last month at his home in Summit Township. The alleged incident occurred April 5.According to court documents, the victim said that before she left the home, the defendant asked her not to say anything. Clark is charged with indecent assault,May 3 — A Brady Township teenager was charged with drugged driving in connection with a March radar-running detail in Center Township. Police said they clocked 19-year-old Sierra S. Mitchell going 66 mph in a 35 mph zone around 11:20 p.m. March 26 on Mercer Road near Blossom Drive.Before stopping her, according to court documents, police noticed her car cross the yellow line. She allegedly admitted having smoked marijuana three or four hours earlier.Police said Mitchell failed field sobriety tests and was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test. Toxicology results allegedly confirmed she had marijuana in her system.A search of the car, documents said, turned up a marijuana pipe Mitchell said belonged to her. Her passenger, Aarron M. Skoch-Gordon, 29, of Harrisville, allegedly admitted ownership of plastic bags containing suspected magic mushrooms and marijuana and a marijuana pipe and grinder.In addition to driving under the influence of a controlled substance, Mitchell is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding, failing to keep right and disregarding traffic lanes.Skoch-Gordon is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and possession of a small amount of marijuana.April 30 — Jeffrey J. Edwards, 61, of Sarver was charged with DUI stemming from a traffic stop in Buffalo Township. He was stopped April 4 after passing a cruiser headed the other way on Route 356 and failing to dim his high beams.Edwards admitted that he had “two beers,” according to court documents, and he failed field sobriety tests. He was eventually taken to the barracks for a breath test that allegedly showed is blood-alcohol level was 0.140 percent.He is charged with DUI, careless driving and not using low beams.
