10 p.m. Wednesday — A .22-caliber revolver was reportedly found in the parking lot at the Butler Commons’ Walmart. The person who found the gun turned it in to a store manager, who notified police. The gun was not previously reported missing or stolen. Police said they are reviewing store surveillance video as part of their ongoing investigation.

Monday — Rachel E. Ross, 25, of Butler Township was charged with drugged driving in connection with a February crash on Route 356 at North Duffy Road. Police said she struck another vehicle about 7:45 p.m. Feb. 26 while turning at the intersection.

She was eventually taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test after field sobriety testing and a drug recognition expert’s evaluation, according to court documents.

Toxicology reports indicated she had buprenorphine and norbuprenorphine in her system. Buprenorphine is a prescription medication often used for the treatment of opioid addiction and norbuprenorphine is a metabolite of buprenorphine.

Ross is charged with driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license, careless driving and making an improper left turn.

March 26 — Bradley S. Burroway, 31, of Emlenton was charged with being more than four times the state’s legal limit for alcohol stemming from a suspected hit-and-run accident in February on Route 422.

Police said they initially received a call for a reckless driver shortly after 3 p.m. Feb. 24. The caller reported the driver, later identified as Burroway, was speeding in a pickup truck and had gone off the road at the Lyndora exit, traveling into a field and hitting trees.

He allegedly backed up, according to court documents, and traveled back onto the road. Police eventually found Burroway parked in a pickup truck at the Walmart parking lot at Butler Commons.

An officer approached the truck, according to court documents, and saw the defendant take a drink from a can of beer. Next to him was a case of beer on the passenger seat.

He acknowledged having “a couple” of beers, police said, and he later failed field sobriety tests. He eventually was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test that indicated his blood-alcohol was 0.330 percent.

In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.

Burroway is charged with DUI, hit-and-run, driving with an open container of alcohol and careless driving.
