10:44 p.m. Sunday — Codi E. Milligan, 38, of Butler was arrested after she was caught with suspected heroin and other drug contraband, and was found to be wanted on a warrant following a traffic stop at North Main and Brady streets.

Police said they found Milligan riding in the front passenger seat of a car that was stopped for having an expired registration, according to court documents. They also learned that Butler Township police had an arrest warrant for her.

While she was getting out of the car, police said, a stamp bag of suspected heroin fell off her. She also had a crack pipe that was inside a cigarette pack.

Milligan was arraigned on misdemeanor charges of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. She also was arraigned on a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia in connection with the Butler Township police warrant.

She was placed in the Butler County Prison on $2,5000 bail following arraignment.

James M. Quast, 47, of Slippery Rock, who was driving the car, was cited for driving an unregistered vehicle.

9:47 p.m. Tuesday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Liam Alese, 17, of New Bethlehem, Clarion County, and a car driven by Shawn Johnston, 24, of Evans City collided at Route 68 and South Benbrook Road.

No one was hurt but both vehicles had to be towed.

5:56 a.m. Tuesday — Stephen Oddo, 47, of Butler was hurt when a vehicle struck his pickup truck at Route 68 and South Eberhart Road. San Kyi, 34, of Pittsburgh was the other driver.

Police said Kyi caused the accident when she failed to yield to oncoming traffic at the intersection. Oddo's truck rolled over twice before landing right side up, according to a police report. He was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unspecified injuries.

Police cited Kyi for disregarding a flashing red light and careless driving.

Tuesday — Police obtained a misdemeanor arrest warrant for Jeremy O. Watterson, 34, of Butler Township stemming from a shoplifting incident last month at a Clearview Mall store in Center Township.

Watterson is accused of swiping three hooded sweatshirts and a pair of sandals at about 2:30 p.m. Oct. 24 at Boscov's. The merchandise is valued at $199.

The alleged shoplifting was caught on store surveillance video, court documents said. Watterson is charged with a felony count of retail theft.

3:25 p.m. Monday — Travis R. Hilliard, 31, of Butler was caught with two syringes at the Moraine Pointe Plaza parking lot. Police were investigating a reported drug overdose when they found him.

A police report noted that Hilliard was not the person overdosing. He is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license.

11:44 p.m. Saturday — An Allegheny County man was caught with suspected crack cocaine after he was arrested on a warrant at Old Plank Estates. A day earlier, police said, the suspect, Ewari W. Ellis, 29, of Coraopolis, received a letter informing him that he was barred from the apartment complex.

Ellis is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and trespass.

10:35 a.m. Nov. 8 — A vehicle driven by Tyler J. Rock, 18, of West Sunbury sideswiped another vehicle on Route 8 south. The wreck happened when Rock's vehicle attempted to change lanes and hit the other car, driven by Darrion Selfridge, 21, of Butler. Both vehicles were northbound.

No one was injured. Police cited Rock for disregarding traffic lanes.

6:18 a.m. Tuesday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Stacey M. Morgan, 29, of Slippery Rock rear-ended another SUV on Route 38 in Center Township. Erik P. Greenert, 35, the other driver, told police that he was slowing for a deer on the road when the accident occurred.

Monday — Chad A. Eggleston, 45, of Butler was charged with drugged driving stemming from a traffic stop last month at the Greater Butler Mart parking lot on Route 8 south. Police said they stopped him shortly after 1 p.m. Oct. 25 for traveling 50 mph in a 25 mph zone on nearby Litman Road.

Eggleston told police that he was using several medications, including a narcotic, and that he had been smoking marijuana, according to court documents. He failed field sobriety testing and was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test.

Toxicology results showed he had morphine-free, the product of heroin and codeine metabolism, in his system as well as marijuana and prescription medication.

In addition to several counts of driving under the influence of a controlled substance, Eggleston is charged with speeding and careless driving.

Monday — Police charged Brandon M. Mackievich, 27, of Penn Township with being more than twice the legal limit for alcohol stemming from a September traffic stop in Butler Township. He was stopped about 10 p.m. Sept. 26 for speeding and other traffic violations on Route 8 south and Vogel Road.

Mackievich admitted that he had been drinking, according to court documents, and he failed two of three field sobriety tests. He was taken to the barracks for a breath test, which showed his blood-alcohol was 0.175 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.

He is charged with DUI, speeding, disobeying traffic control devices, disregarding traffic lanes, reckless driving and four counts of careless driving.

3:29 a.m. Sunday — An Ohio man was arrested for driving on drugs on Route 422 west in Butler Township. Police said they stopped Shawn M. Truman, 39, of Boardman for traveling 65 mph in a 55 mph zone.

Truman, who was found with a marijuana pipe in his glove box, failed field sobriety tests and was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital, according to court documents. But he refused to submit to a blood test at the hospital.

He was arraigned on charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding and careless driving. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $6,000 bail following arraignment.

6:48 a.m. Monday — Ernest W. Switzer, 24, of Parker was injured when he lost control of his pickup truck and crashed on East End Road in Beaver Township Police said the eastbound truck struck an embankment and rolled over, landing on its roof and partially blocking the westbound lane.

Switzer, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries to his forehead. He was taken to Clarion Hospital for treatment. Police cited him for driving at an unsafe speed and disregarding traffic lanes.
