Tuesday — Police obtained a felony arrest warrant for an Allegheny County man accused of choking his girlfriend during a weekend domestic dispute with his girlfriend, Desiree Feitl, at her apartment on Pillow Street.

Eric L. Barlow, 27, of West Mifflin is charged with aggravated assault, a felony, and simple assault and strangulation, both misdemeanors.

Feitl told police that she and Barlow got into an argument about 1:45 a.m. Saturday after they returned to her home from a Butler Township bar. She said the defendant choked her to the point that she could not breathe, according to court documents.

She later told Barlow to leave but instead he came at her again, documents said, and hit her in the side of the head. Police said the victim had marks on her neck but she refused medical treatment.

1:28 p.m. Sunday — Kelsea E. Zaludek, 25, of Butler was arrested after allegedly hitting her husband, Michael Zaludek, in the face with a BB gun during a domestic dispute at their home on North Sixth Avenue.

The defendant admitted she struck the victim, who suffered an injury under his right eye, court documents said.

Zaludek was arraigned on a charge of simple assault. She was placed in Butler County Prison on $1,500 bail following arraignment.

7:58 p.m. Aug. 30 — Terence Lee McKain, 62, of Butler was arrested for drunken driving after his minivan struck the back of a car parked on Kaufman Drive.

Police said McKain, who failed field sobriety testing, was taken for a breath test that showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.164 percent, which is more than twice the state’s 0.08 percent legal limit.

He is charged with driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license.

9:22 a.m. Aug. 22 — Jacob U. Vandevort-Renforth, 28, of Center Township was caught with suspected LSD at Memorial Park.

Police said they were called after a park employee came upon Vandevort-Renforth sleeping on a picnic table in one of the shelters. Officers subsequently found the defendant with a cellophane cigarette wrapper containing four LSD tablets.

Vandevort-Renforth admitted the tablets were LSD, court documents said. He is charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Thursday — Tia Rae Durham, 20, of Butler was charged with lying to police about being sexually assaulted last week in the township.

Police said while investigating the allegations they found that parts of her story “did not make sense or were contradictory,” according to court documents. Durham eventually admitted that she was not assaulted.

She is charged with two counts of false reports — one for falsely incriminating another person and the other for reporting an offense that did not occur.

Thursday — Tera L. Callihan, 31, of Butler was charged in connection with a shoplifting incident last month at the Butler Commons’ Walmart.

Police said Callihan stole 10 video games, valued at $163.23, from the store at about 5 p.m. Aug. 14. She allegedly took the merchandise to the Game Stop store in the same shopping plaza and traded them for $30.41.

She is charged with retail theft and theft by deception.

Tuesday — Police charged an Armstrong County woman with retail theft and defiant trespass in connection with a shoplifting incident last month at the Walmart at Butler Commons.

The suspect, Bethany Lynn Ridinger, 27, of Kittanning, was caught about 3:40 p.m. Aug. 19 taking $74.26 in merchandise that she did not pay for, according to a police report.

3:21 p.m. Sunday — Chelsey L. Foy, 23, of Saxonburg was caught allegedly shoplifting merchandise valued at $24.27 at the Butler Commons’ Walmart, She is charged with misdemeanor retail theft.

[naviga:h3]Slippery Rock Police[/naviga:h3]

Sept. 1 — Police charged Owen N. Smith, 21, of Grove City with kicking in the door at another man’s apartment on Fairview Drive last month.

Smith and the victim, Zachary McKee, apparently had been embroiled in an ongoing dispute about 11 p.m. Aug. 23 when the defendant allegedly caused $650 in damage to the door, the door jamb and lock.

Smith is charged with a misdemeanor count of criminal mischief.

Wednesday — Clair W. Boring, 65, of Butler was charged with the July 15 attempted break-in of a home in Clay Township.

The alleged victim told police that Boring arrived at her home on Hill Lane and began pounding on the door, according to court documents. He also kicked the door before he drove away in his pickup truck.

The door as well as the door frame and lock were damaged.

Boring was arraigned on charges of attempted burglary, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and harassment. He was later released on his own recognizance.

10:36 p.m. Monday — Beatrice Jo Gravatt, 52, of Harrisville was arrested for drunken driving after she got her pickup truck stuck in a field on Van Dyke Road in Marion Township.

She was unable to stand but claimed she was fine, police said. She told a trooper she “had been driving around and drinking cause she was mad at her ex-boyfriend,” according to court documents.

Gravatt was taken to the barracks in Butler Township but she refused to submit to a breath test.

She was arraigned on charges of driving under the influence, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving without insurance, disregarding traffic lanes, driving at an unsafe speed and careless driving. She was placed in Butler County Prison on $2,000 bail following arraignment.

6 a.m. Monday — Zaysha M. Tyson-Ford, 21, of Slippery Rock was arrested after allegedly assaulting her girlfriend during a domestic dispute in Slippery Rock Township.

Tyson-Ford is accused of kicking Ciarra Robinson in the face and placing her hands around the victim’s throat, according to court documents. She also allegedly punched Robinson in the face.

A Slippery Rock Ambulance crew tended to the victim, who was taken to an unspecified hospital for treatment of minor injuries to her right cheek and eye.

Tyson-Ford was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and placed in Butler County Prison on $3,000 bail.

1 a.m. Sept. 1 — Aston J. Sutherland, 19, of Slippery Rock was arrested for illegally having a handgun in his car after police stopped him for speeding in Center Township.

The teen initially sped past a trooper on Route 173 in Brady Township, court documents. The officer turned around and followed the 2010 Honda Civic that was traveling more than 95 mph at the one point after turning north onto Route 8.

Police eventually pulled over Sutherland on Unionville Road. A search of the car turned up a .45-caliber pistol in the center console, documents said. The gun was loaded with a magazine that had 11 rounds of ammo in it.

Sutherland was arraigned on a felony charge of possessing a firearm without a concealed carry license and several traffic violations including speeding, careless driving and reckless driving. He was placed in Butler County Prison on $3,000 bail following arraignment.

Sept. 1 — Police arrested a Mercer County man for drugged driving after a traffic stop for failing to use his turn signal at Rebecca Lane and Grove City Road in Slippery Rock. His sport utility vehicle also had an expired license plate on it.

The defendant, Matthew C. Wilson, 30, of Mercer, subsequently failed field sobriety tests and a drug recognition expert’s evaluation, according to court documents. He admitted to recently smocking marijuana and was taken for a blood test.

In addition to driving under the influence of a controlled substance, Wilson was arraigned on charges of driving with a suspended license, driving without a license, driving an unregistered vehicle, failing to use turn signals and careless driving.

He was placed in Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail following arraignment.

Aug. 30 — Michael J. Churilla, 42, of Slippery Rock was arrested for allegedly trying to help hide a woman wanted by police at a home in Mercer Township.

Troopers showed up at the home on Shields Road with a bench warrant for Amber M. Trufley, 36, of Slippery Rock. Churilla was at the house but he claimed Trufley was not there, according to court documents.

Churilla, it turned up, was wanted on traffic warrants. A constable subsequently took him into custody. When troopers were closing the front door of the house, they heard noises coming form inside.

A search, documents said, found Trufley hiding in a back bedroom under a blanket. He, too, was arrested on the warrant.

In an unrelated case from just a day earlier. Trufley is accused of giving police a bogus name following a traffic stop about 5 p.m. Aug. 29 in Slippery Rock Township. She was a passenger in the vehicle that was stopped on the 300 block of Harmony Road.

Trufley was arraigned on a charge of false identification to law enforcement authorities, and placed in Butler County Prison on $2,500 bail and for the warrant.

Churilla was arraigned on a charge of hindering apprehension or prosecution, and later released on his own recognizance.

8:48 p.m. Aug. 29 — Aaron J. Scarborough, 43, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend during a domestic dispute at his home on the 600 block of Main Street in Prospect.

The victim, Karolyn Ealy, told police that the defendant punched her in the right side of her face as she walked to her car to leave the home, according to court documents. She suffered a swollen and bruised right eye.

Scarborough was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and released on $15,000 unsecured bail.

Aug. 29 — Adam T. Walters, 21, of Slippery Rock was charged with being more than two times the legal limit for alcohol last month when he wrecked his car in Brady Township.

Walters suffered minor injuries when he crashed his Mazda Miata over an embankment about 3 a.m. July 30 on Route 528 just north of the Brady-Franklin Township line, police said.

He admitted having “one or two drinks” that night, according to court documents, and he subsequently failed field sobriety testing. He was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test.

Toxicology results showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.179 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.

In addition to driving under the influence, Walters is charged with disregarding traffic lanes, driving at an unsafe speed and careless driving.

Aug. 29 — Police charged an Allegheny County woman with drugged driving stemming from a July speeding stop on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township.

Troopers said they were running radar about 7:45 p.m. July 26 when they clocked Taylor M. Schuck, 25, of Oakdale traveling 88 mph in a 70-mph zone. Police smelled marijuana coming from the defendant’s pickup truck.

Schuck admitted there was a marijuana cigarette in the ashtray and that she had been smoking it shortly before being stopped, according to court documents. She was arrested after failing field sobriety tests.

Police said a search of her purse turned up a Mason jar containing suspected marijuana, rolling papers and a rolling machine.

Schuck was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test, which confirmed she had marijuana in her system, according to documents.

She is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and speeding.

Aug. 28 — Police charged an Armstrong County man with driving on drugs stemming from a July traffic stop on Route 422 east in Clearfield Township. Carl E. Urbansky, 36, of Apollo was stopped about 1:45 p.m. July 19 because his car’s registration was expired.

Urbansky admitted he has a medical condition was on “numerous medications,” according to court documents. He was taken to Butler Memorial for a blood test after failing field sobriety tests and a drug recognition expert’s evaluation.

A toxicology report showed the presence of three different prescription medications. He is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and driving an unregistered vehicle.

9:14 p.m. Saturday — A Parker woman was caught allegedly shoplifting $525.44 in merchandise at the Walmart in Cranberry, Venango County. The suspect, 20-year-old Andrea S. Seeker, faces a misdemeanor county of retail theft.

[naviga:h3]State Police, New Castle[/naviga:h3]

Tuesday — An unknown burglar made off with cigarettes from the Tic Toc convenience store on Ellwood Road in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.

The suspect broke the front glass door to get inside between 11 p.m. Monday and 2:11 a.m. Tuesday, according to a police report.
