Tuesday — Arlene A. Campbell, 57, of Butler allegedly made harassing telephone calls to a city woman. She is accused of calling the victim, Diana Spinetti, three times and making “threatening comments,” according to court documents.
Campbell is charged with a misdemeanor count of harassment.
Monday — Police charged Thomas J. Clark, 25, of Center Township and Rachel E. Ross, 24, of Pittsburgh with having drug contraband stemming from a suspicious activity call in May at the West End shopping plaza.
Officers found Clark and Ross in a pickup truck. Clark, who was in the driver’s seat, had a suspended license. A later inventory search of the truck turned up an eyeglass case containing six empty stamp bags of suspected heroin, three used syringes and a metal spoon.
The case, police noted, was on the floor between the driver’s seat and the passenger’s seat. According to court documents, the case was “within the reach of either occupant.”
Neither defendant, however, claimed ownership of the eyeglass case and its contents. As such, police charged both Clark and Ross with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Wednesday — Police charged Jarrod L. Shoaf, 35, of Washington Township with forging seven personal checks belonging to a Lyndora man last year. The checks were in a checkbook taken from the victim’s pickup truck.
Shoaf between Dec. 3 and 15 is accused of forging the checks, which were written in the combined amount of $2,380, according to court documents. He cashed four with a total of $680, police said.
He is charged with seven counts each of forgery and identity theft, all felonies. He also is charged with four counts of theft and one count each of theft from a vehicle and access device fraud, all misdemeanors.
Wednesday — Victor G. Yute, 42, of Winfield Township was charged with trying to illegally buy a gun last year.
Police said Yute allegedly provided false information on a federal form that was required Nov. 26 when he attempted to buy a rifle at Dick’s Sporting Goods at the Greewood Plaza.
When his information was entered into the Pennsylvania Instant Check system, an automated system by which gun dealers can determine if someone can legally buy a gun in the state, he was denied the purchase.
Yute is charged with unlawfully attempting to buy a firearm, a felony, and unsworn falsification to authorities, a misdemeanor.

June 29 — Joshua C. Rock, 23, of Lyndora was charged with drugged driving in connection with a multivehicle crash earlier in the month in Summit Township. Police said the wreck happened shortly before 2 p.m. June 10 on Route 38.
Rock suffered unknown injuries and his vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage. An ambulance crew was treating him when a trooper got there. He acknowledged having used marijuana earlier in the morning, according to court documents.
Results of a blood test subsequently showed he had marijuana in the system. He is charged with driving under the influence of controlled substance and making an improper left turn.
June 29 — Police charged an Armstrong County woman with drugged driving in connection with a traffic stop earlier that month in Center Township. Shannon M. Crissman, 21, of Kittanning was pulled over June 3 for having her car’s high beams on while traveling behind a trooper’s cruiser.
Police said Crissman’s car reeked of marijuana and she appeared to be impaired. She admitted having smoked marijuana that evening before driving, court documents said. She also acknowledged having marijuana and a marijuana pipe, police said.
Police said Crissman turned over to the trooper a baggie of suspected marijuana that she had in her shirt. She was arrested after failing field sobriety tests and was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test.
Toxicology results subsequently confirmed she had marijuana in her system.
Crissman is charged with driving under the influence of controlled substance and failing to use low beams.
1:29 a.m. June 17 — Amanda M. Webb, 19, of Clearfield Township was arrested for drunken driving on Route 8 in Center Township. Police said they stopped her pickup truck after it crossed the fog line several times. They also learned that the truck’s registration was expired.
Webb smelled of alcohol, according to court documents. She failed two field sobriety tested and was taken for a breath test, which showed her blood-alcohol level was 0.092 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.
In addition to driving under the influence, Webb is charged with DUI by a minor, underage drinking, disregarding traffic lanes and driving an unregistered vehicle.
[naviga:h3]State Police, Kittanning[/naviga:h3]
2:17 p.m. Tuesday — A Butler County teenager was one of three people hurt in a two-vehicle wreck in West Franklin Township.
The crash happened when a pickup truck driven by Kirstin L. Craig, 17, of Chicora and a sport utility vehicle driven by Darlene C. Walbert, 64, of Arnold, Westmoreland County, collided at Route 422 west and Nichola Road.
Both drivers and Walbert’s passenger, Suzanna R. Kozowski, 62, of Tarentum, Allegheny County were taken to ACMH Hospital in East Franklin Township with minor injuries. All three occupants were wearing seat belts.
[naviga:h3]State Police, Punxsutawney[/naviga:h3]
June 30 — The state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement cited the Wind Haven Restaurant & Lounge on Route 19 in Cranberry Township for allegedly violating the state liquor law between May 4 and 20 by failing to have its board-approved manager complete required Responsible Alcohol Management Program training.
An administrative law judge will hear the case.
