Butler Police9:38 a.m. March 8 — Nathan R. Huber, 26, of Oakland Township was caught with suspected drug contraband on West Diamond Street. Police said they found a used syringe and what appeared to be a crack pipe in the pocket of his jacket.Huber was reportedly at the adult probation office when the items were discovered. He is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Butler Twp Police8:02 p.m. Monday — Melissa K. Harmon-Davis, 32, and Maryrose M. Hatfield, 37, of Lyndora landed in trouble with the law after police got a call for two people doing drugs in a car at the Comfort Inn parking lot off Route 8 south.Harmon-Davis is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and public drunkenness. Hatfield is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Grove City Police7:48 p.m. Saturday — Aaron C. Johnson, 27, of Grove City was arrested for driving under the influence of a controlled substance after police responded to a report of a man passed out in the driver’s seat of a vehicle in the in the 400 block of South Broad Street.Thursday — Police charged Felecia C. Maxwell, 46, with misdemeanor drug possession stemming from a warrant search about 9:10 p.m. March 7 at her home on Enclave Drive. She is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

State Police, Butler10:10 p.m. Monday — Drew J. Donoghue, 25, of Butler suffered an apparent heroin-related overdose at his home on Willow Run Road in Center Township. Donoghue was alert and under the care of paramedics when police arrived.A police report said that after the overdose “was reversed,” he gave permission to troopers to search the room where he was found, The searched turn up several items of drug paraphernalia.6:05 a.m. Sunday — A 20-year-old Beaver County man was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after he crashed his vehicle on Route 108 west near Slippery Rock Township. Police said the Beaver Falls man, who they did not identify, fled the scene but was later found.Sunday — Kurt W. Speicher, 31, of Portersville was charged with taking a wallet last month from Cal’s General Store on Route 19 in Portersville. The victim, an 18-year-old Portersville woman, and a witness identified Speicher as taking the wallet on Feb. 25.Police later found the suspect at his home. He was searched and found with suspected drug contraband. Speicher is charged with theft, receiving stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia.March 8 — Scott C. Mulig, 19, of Connoquenessing Township was caught with suspected marijuana and drug contraband stemming from a traffic stop last month in Summit Township.Police said they stopped Mulig’s sport utility vehicle about 11:15 p.m. Feb. 17 on Route 422 east of Wesley Lane for having a burned out taillight. A “strong odor” of marijuana was coming from the SUV when police got there, according to court documents.A subsequent search of the vehicle turned up a baggie of marijuana, a pill bottle and an Altoids tin containing marijuana, a snuff can with suspected marijuana stems in it, and a smoking pipe, documents said.Mulig is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and driving without rear lights.3:27 a.m. March 5 — An Armstrong County teenager was arrested for drunken driving on Route 422 about one-half mile west of Clearfield Road in Clearfield Township. Michaela B. Dalessio, 19, of Rural Valley reeked of alcohol when police found her.She failed field sobriety tests and was taken for a breath test, which showed her blood-alcohol level was 0.185 percent, according to court documents. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.Dalessio is charged with driving under the influence, DUI by a minor and underage drinking.1:56 a.m. March 4 — Clarke J. Okinski, 57, of Pittsburgh was arrested for being at least twice the state’s legal limit for alcohol on Staff Road near Route 8 in Brady Township. Okinski, who appeared impaired, admitted that he consumed six beers at a local bar.He was eventually taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test after failing field sobriety tests. In addition to DUI, he is charged with driving with a suspended license, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving without valid inspection, careless driving, reckless driving and not wearing a seat belt.Okinski was placed in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail following arraignment on charges.March 2 — Police charged Brianna J. Durand, 20, of Jefferson Township with having marijuana in connection with a traffic stop in Summit Township. Her car was pulled over about 1 p.m. Feb. 18 on Route 422 for having a rear taillight that was not working.The car, which smelled badly of marijuana, was eventually searched. Police said they found two plastic bags containing marijuana, a marijuana grinder and a marijuana pipe.Durand is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, driving without rear lights and not wearing a seat belt.

State Police, PunxsutawneyFriday — The state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement cited Lee’s Place on Herman Road in Summit Township for allegedly violating the state liquor law last year.A police report said the business on July 20 bounced a check at a state store for liquor; and on July 15 and Aug. 11 and 27 sold alcohol after the restaurant’s liquor license expired June 30.An administrative law judge will hear the case.
