12:51 a.m. Tuesday — Jarrod Shoaf, 34, of Concord Township was rescued after suffering an apparent heroin overdose at the car wash on South Monroe Street. A 28-year-old woman who admitted using drugs with Shoaf called 911, police said.
A medical crew administered Narcan to Shoaf, who was unconscious and not breathing. He was revived but declined to go to the hospital. He told police that he earlier bought heroin in Butler, drove to the car wash and shot up two stamp bags.
Police said he was not charged.
3:29 p.m. Monday — A 25-year-old Butler man was found injured near St. Paul Catholic Church in the 100 block of North McKean Street after apparently slitting his wrist with an unknown metal object. Police did not identify the man, who had what appeared to be a minor injury. He was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment.
2:08 p.m. Monday — Shane M. Baker-Whipkey, 35, was arrested after police say he assaulted his girlfriend, Danialle Digiacomo, during a domestic dispute at his home on East Wayne Street.
Police were initially called to the area of South Main Street near the Cycle Warehouse for a report of a woman bleeding from her head and holding her stomach.
Officers eventually found Digiacomo on North Washington Street. She had a bleeding head injury and her shirt was blood stained, according to court documents.
Digiacomo told police that the defendant punched her at the apartment. Officers went to the home and noticed blood on the apartment door and a blood trail in the hallway.
Baker-Whipkey, who was not at the apartment, was later found. He was arraigned on a charge of simple assault and released free on $10,000 unsecured bail.
1:58 p.m. Monday — James A. Freed, 59, no known address, allegedly forced his way into his former girlfriend’s home on Rattigan Street. The door and dead bolt lock were damaged in the incident. Police obtained an arrest warrant for Freed on a felony charge of trespass.
Butler Twp PoliceTuesday — Emily Rae Jones, 22, of Butler was charged with drunken driving stemming from a one-vehicle accident last month on Campus Lane. Police said Jones struck a light pole about 1:50 a.m. Nov. 6. In addition to DUI, she is charged with careless driving.6:28 p.m. Monday — Scott A. Locke, 45, of Butler was arrested on a bench warrant at an Evergreen Street home. The warrant was issued Nov. 4, court records showed, after he failed to appear for sentencing court on charges including being a habitual offender for driving under suspension. Locke was placed in the Butler County Prison on the warrant.
State Police, Butler1:06 a.m. Tuesday — Marissa Hartz, 19, of Pittsburgh was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance on Main Street in Slippery Rock. Charges are pending toxicology results.
State Police, ClarionNov. 30 — An unknown thief stole unspecified property from a 28-year-old Parker man’s vehicle on Jordan Hollow Road in Perry Township, Clarion County. The theft happened between Nov. 9 and 30.
State Police, Mercer11:05 p.m. Saturday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Jose R. Michaelraj, 26, of Pittsburgh struck a deer on Interstate 79 just north of Plain Grove North Liberty Road in Plain Grove Township, Lawrence County. No one was hurt but the vehicle had to be towed.3:53 a.m. Friday — A 28-year-old Ohio man was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after he crashed into a tree at Route 208 and George Junior Road in Pine Township, Mercer County. The Shadyside man was taken to Grove City Medical Center for a blood test. DUI charges are pending toxicology results.
Grove City PoliceTuesday — Police reported they are investigating the theft of a firearm from a vehicle in the 400 block of North Center Street. The owner, a 33-year-old man, reported the theft Oct. 26. Anyone having information is asked to call 724-458-7925.Monday — An unknown driver did not stop after crashing a vehicle into a guide rail on George Junior Road. The guide rail was damaged. Police discovered the wreck Monday. Anyone having information is asked to call police.
