Butler PoliceMonday — Surenu E. Frank, 31, of Butler was charged in connection with the vandalism last month of a home on the 400 block of Negley Avenue.Police allege Frank broke two windows at the home of her boyfriend’s mother. The victim, Gloria Mastrocesare, has a protection from abuse order against Frank, according to court documents.The suspect is accused of throwing a potted plant at one window about 2 a.m. and a garden stone at another one about 2:30 a.m. Police about 3 a.m. found Frank in a vehicle near the home.Officers said she smelled of alcohol and a search turned up a suspected marijuana pipe. Damage to the home was estimated at $620.Frank is charged with criminal mischief, possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness.10:09 a.m. Saturday — Sarah R. Post, 39, of Summit Township allegedly shoplifted a digital memory card, valued at $17, from the Rite Aid store on South Main Street. She later returned to the store that evening and was arrested shortly after 6:30 p.m.Police took her to the station where she was searched and found with suspected crack cocaine. Charging documents noted that Post, who has one prior arrest for shoplifting, was barred from the Rite Aid Nov. 12.She is charged with retail theft, possession of a controlled substance and defiant trespass,11:06 a.m. May 25 — A car driven by Vance Gallagher, 72, of Summit Township struck the rear of a cargo van stopped in a construction zone on East Jefferson Street at First Street. Jon J. Ambrosia, 45, of New Castle was driving the van.Police cited Gallagher for disobeying traffic control devices and driving at an unsafe speed.

Butler Twp PoliceMonday — Annmarie Bedner, 46, of Butler was charged with drugged driving in connection with a one-vehicle crash last month on Route 68. Bedner’s car shortly before 3 p.m. struck a sign along the road.In addition to driving under the influence, she is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, careless driving and disregarding traffic lanes.Friday — Nicole T. Nagowski, 27, of Lyndora was charged with DUI stemming from a traffic stop at 2:40 a.m. April 17 on New Castle Road near Campus Lane. Police said she initially thwarted an officer’s attempt to put her in handcuffs.Nagowski is also charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, driving with a suspended license-DUI related, driving without a license and disregarding traffic lanes.

Grove City PoliceTuesday — An apparently abandoned bicycle was found at Memorial Park. The bike was turned in to police. The owner can claim it at the station at 337 E. Pine St.

State Police, ButlerSunday — Michael K. Kelly, 52, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted a woman at his mobile home on Pagenhardt Lane in Clay Township.Police said the alleged victim, who was not identified in court documents, suffered a black and blue mark and swelling under the right eye.The woman told police that Kelly hit her in the face. She said she left the home and was walking toward the road when Kelly came up behind her and hit her numerous times.She eventually contacted her niece, who drove her away. Police arrested Kelly, who was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment. He was placed in Butler County Prison on $15,000 bail following arraignment.
