Butler PoliceTuesday — Police charged Danielle Napier, 22, of Butler with throwing a bag of dog poop at the side of a house on the 300 block of Virginia Avenue during a confrontation with the homeowner.The alleged victim, a 77-year-old Center Township man, told police that he was mowing the grass at his rental property when the suspect let out her unleashed dog. After the canine finished its “business” in the man’s yard, he asked Napier to clean up the mess.That’s when the suspect apparently got angry, according to a police report, and she responded by throwing “a bag of dog feces” at the man’s home. The bag broke open and the feces went flying.Police said they tried to speak with Napier at her home but did not find her there. They cited her for disorderly conduct.

Butler Twp PoliceMonday — Police charged David E. Baker, 49, and Frank A. Monfre, 49, both of Butler, with theft by deception and receiving stolen property stemming from an incident March 26 at the Lowe’s store at Moraine Pointe Plaza.Monday — Christopher L. Heitzenrater, 40, of Fenelton was charged with illegally trying to buy a gun Feb. 21 at Dicks Sporting Goods store at Greenwood Plaza.On his application to buy the gun, Heitzenrater claimed he was not a fugitive from justice. But he is a fugitive, police noted, and is wanted by the Butler County Sheriff’s office on a bench warrantPolice on Monday got an arrest warrant for Heitzenrater on charges of unlawfully attempting to buy a firearm, a felony, and making a false statement to authorities, a misdemeanor charge.

State Police, Butler1:09 a.m. Sunday — An unidentified vehicle struck a speed limit sign along Route 528 just south of Moraine State Park in Brady Township. Police said the unknown driver did not stop after the crash.

State Police, ClarionSunday — Someone stole a handgun from a man’s room at Foxburg Inn in Foxburg. The theft happened between Friday and Sunday.

State Police, Franklin2:05 a.m. Tuesday — Jaryn E. Beatty, 24, of West Sunbury was hurt when she lost control of her sport utility vehicle in a suspected drunken driving crash and struck an embankment. The SUV ended on its roof.Beatty, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered a minor injury. Police said she was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.

State Police, PunxsutawneyFriday — The state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement cited the White Star Fraternal Society on Shuster Drive in Buffalo Township for violating the state liquor law between February 2014 and February 2016 by allegedly failing to maintain complete and accurate records concerning the operation of small games of chance.An administrative law judge will hear the case.

State Police, MercerMonday — Jewelry worth $4,800 was stolen from a home on the 1100 block of Sandy Lake Grove City Road just outside Grove City. The stolen property included several wrist watches, a ring, bracelet and necklace.The owner of the jewelry, a 21-year-old woman, told police that she allowed a friend to stay at her house Monday night while she was away. The friend invited others over to the home and one of those guests allegedly took the items. Police said they have a suspect, who they did not identify.8:45 p.m. Friday — A Crawford County man was hurt but still was able to flee the scene of a motorcycle wreck in Wolf Creek TownshipPolice said James D. Parker, 67, of Meadville was driving the cycle on Route 173 when he traveled off the road about three-tenths of a mile south of Scrubgrass Road and hit a ditch. The bike ended about 20 feet off the road and on its left side.Parker was cited for driving with a suspended license.

State Police, New Castle3:15 a.m. Saturday — An unidentified driver fled a crash in Scott Township, leaving behind the wrecked car and an injured passenger, Jacob McNutt, 22, of Grove City.Police said the driver lost control of the car on Route 108 just east of Route 19, striking a traffic sign and rolling down an embankment before hitting a tree.
