Butler Police10:20 a.m. Monday — Joann E. Stevenson, 74, of Butler Township lost control of her sport utility vehicle and struck several trees along Pepperland Boulevard before crossing back over the road. She told police the accident happened when she swerved her vehicle to avoid a deer.Police cited Stevenson for driving at an unsafe speed.11:56 p.m. Saturday — Raymond A. Leon Jr., 50, allegedly assaulted his girlfriend, Angela Bodema, during a domestic dispute at their home on Fourth Avenue. Bodema told police the suspect shoved her backward, causing her to hit the back of her head.Leon, who was gone by the time police got there, is charged with simple assault.8 p.m. Saturday — Eric S. Durr, 32, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend, 35-year-old Heather Grosskopf, during a domestic dispute at her apartment in the 100 block of West Jefferson Street.Durr is accused of putting Grosskopf in a bear hug, slamming her to the ground and landing on top of her. She complained of severe pain to the ribs.The defendant was arraigned on a charge of simple assault, and he was placed in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail.
Butler Twp PoliceSunday — A set of keys was found at the Butler Intermediate High School track and turned in to the police station at 290 S. Duffy Road. The owner can claim the keys at the station between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday to Friday, or call police at 724-285-9600.
Butler County DetectivesFriday — William S. Raub, 29, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from a visit by county probation officers to his home in Butler. The officers found him with four hypodermic needles, several empty stamp bags of heroin and other contraband.
State Police, ButlerTuesday — Nichole A. Means, 18, of Karns City pleaded guilty to a pair of summary citations for punching another teenager at a convenience store in Muddy Creek Township last month.Police said Means about 1 a.m. Feb. 23 went behind the counter at the Subway store at the Pilot Travel Center on Route 422 and hit 18-year-old Samantha Allen of Slippery Rock. She also tackled the victim.Means was charged with defiant trespass and harassment. According to court records, she pleaded guilty to both charges before District Judge William O’Donnell and was ordered to pay $350 in fines and court costs.6:50 p.m. Monday — Sean. J. Gribbin, 26, of Hermitage, Mercer County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after being stopped for speeding on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township. Police said Gribbin was traveling 104 mph in a 65 mph zone.

PoliceFeb. 23 — Stephanie Gregory, 22, of Cranberry Township was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia from an incident on Jan. 30.Feb. 23 — Paul Bacorn, 25, of Cranberry Township was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia from an incident on Feb. 12.Feb. 23 — Jeremy Hays, 22, of Cranberry Township was charged with misdemeanor possession of display documents for having an inspection sticker on his vehicle that was from another vehicle, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, driving an unregistered vehicle and operating a vehicle without insurance, from an incident on Feb. 12.9:45 a.m. Feb. 24 — A medical emergency on Route 228 caused traffic delays for about 30 minutes. A man driving a red pickup truck had a seizure causing his vehicle to go into the median. No other vehicles were involved and no one was injured. The truck was towed and the man was treated by Cranberry Township EMS.Thursday — Robert West, 23, of Cranberry Township was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct from a Feb. 13 incident.Thursday — Chad Lavery, 33, of Butler was charged with a misdemeanor of bad checks.
State Police, Mercer11:11 p.m. Feb. 18 — Matthew Blahnik, 20, of Pittsburgh was pulled over by a state trooper on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township. A search of the vehicle allegedly yielded a quarter-pound of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia.He was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, no rear lights and operating a vehicle without valid inspection.
Butler County Drug Task ForceThursday — Cody Clint, 33, of Cranberry Township was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana from a Feb. 3 incident.
Adams Twp. PoliceFeb. 23 — Kendall Angeletti, 18, of Mars was accused of stealing cash and credit cards from a purse at Luciano’s Restaurant.Angeletti, who was an employee there, allegedly stole $74 and three credit cards Feb. 13 from a purse that was left behind by a customer. Police used surveillance footage to identify her.She is charged with misdemeanor theft by unlawful taking, theft of property lost by mistake and access device issued to another who did not authorize.Feb. 23 — Elizabeth Arblaster, 24, of Slippery Rock was charged with five counts of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without a license, vehicle registration suspended and driving with license suspended from a Feb. 16 incident.Friday — Frank Rumier, 26, of Pittsburgh was charged with driving while operating privilege suspended, driving an unregistered vehicle, operating a vehicle without a valid inspection and misdemeanor habitual offender from a traffic stop Feb. 22.
Evans City-Seven Fields Regional PoliceFeb. 23 — Drew Keys, 47, of Mars was charged with DUI with a blood-alcohol level greater than 0.16 percent from a traffic stop Jan. 14.Feb. 24 — Scott Stewart, 24, of Lawrenceville was charged with misdemeanor trespassing, harassment and criminal mischief after allegedly making a scene Feb. 18 at his parent’s house on Warrick Drive in Seven Fields.While visiting his family, Stewart allegedly tackled his brother, Daniel Stewart, smashed a fan, destroyed a dog gate and used a screwdriver to puncture two tires on his brother’s car.After his family locked him out of the house, he allegedly broke the window frame on the back door trying to get inside.
State Police, Kittanning2:07 a.m. Tuesday — Kayla M. Schreckengost, 26, and Helen I. Dongilli, 54, both of Kittanning, were arrested following a domestic dispute at a home on Pleasant View Drive in East Franklin Township. Both women suffered minor injuries.Schreckengost and Dongilli were arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and each was placed in the Armstrong County Jail on $2,500.00 bail.Friday — Victor J. Goodman, 60, of Kittanning was charged with having marijuana Feb. 23 on Waterworks Street in East Franklin Township. Goodman is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
