Butler Police12:56 a.m. Thursday — Anibal Gonzalez, 38, and Bryan R. Sanchez, 19, both of Butler, were arrested after they allegedly attacked and injured a couple at the Shore Street Apartments.The defendants are accused of assaulting Curtis Goff and his girlfriend, Ashley Pint. Both alleged victims were treated at Butler Memorial Hospital.Goff suffered cuts on the left side of his face and on his left hand. Pint suffered facial swelling and a bump on top of her head.Police later reviewed surveillance video at the apartment complex, which showed Gonzalez hitting Goff in the face several times while Goff “was lying on the ground defenseless,” documents said.Gonzalez and Sanchez were both arraigned on charges of aggravated assault, conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, and simple assault. They were placed in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail each following arraignment.Thursday — Andrew J. Wick, 22, of Lyndora was charged in the alleged assault of Tashina Booher on July 29 at her apartment in the 300 block of West Jefferson Street. Wick is accused of hitting Booher’s head. She suffered minor injuries. Wick is also accused of causing about $100 in damage after kicking in and splintering the apartment door. He is charged with simple assault and criminal mischief.Wednesday — Police charged Ryan Z. Wilson, 24, of Butler with using a West Penn Street woman’s debit card without her permission Sept. 2 and withdrawing $158 from the bank account. He also made a $19 purchase with the card at a convenience store on West Jefferson Street. Wilson is charged with access device fraud.Tuesday — Police charged Nathaniel J. Baxter, 24, of Butler with misdemeanor drug possession in connection with a traffic stop about 12:20 p.m. Aug. 15 in the 100 block of Whippo Avenue. A search of his car turned up a plastic bag containing a white powdered substance, 11 empty stamp bags of suspected heroin, a syringe and other contraband, court documents said. Baxter is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.10:26 p.m. Sunday — Adam R. Took, 29, of Butler was arrested after allegedly huffing a can of aerosol duster at the Pullman Square shopping plaza. Police said Took appeared impaired and his lips were blue. He is charged with inhaling solvents.4:54 p.m. Monday — A car driven by Joan Leyland, 80, of Butler was hit by an unidentified car at Glenn and Robinson avenues. The unknown driver, described as a light-skinned black man in his early 20s, did not stop. The suspect’s vehicle is described as a blue, 1990s model car.
Grove City Police7:40 p.m. Tuesday — John Katalinas, 19, of Grove City went to a woman’s home in the 300 block of West Main Street and allegedly refused to leave. He is accused of slapping the woman. Katalinas is charged with trespass and harassment.
Butler County Drug Task ForceThursday — Edward C. Fink, 29, of Butler was arraigned on charges stemming from an alleged 2014 drug deal in Butler. Fink on Oct. 2 allegedly sold heroin to a police informant for $120, according to court documents.Investigators said the suspect used a cell phone to arrange the deal on Pillow Street. The task force May 20 got a warrant for Fink’s arrest on charges of delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, criminal use of a communication facility and possession of a controlled substance.Fink was recently arrested in Trumbull County, Ohio. He is in the Butler County Prison on $50,000 bail.
State Police, Kittanning12:05 p.m. Thursday — Jessica A. Hooks-Dilick, 21, of Sarver lost control of her car and struck a guardrail on Route 28 about two miles north of Exit 18 in North Buffalo Township. Police said she faces a ticket for disregarding traffic lanes and not wearing a seat belt.10:02 a.m. Thursday — A pickup truck driven by Francis A. Kramer, 72, of Sarver rear-ended a Brinks armored truck that was stopped in traffic on rain-soaked Route 28 just north of Exit 5 in Sharpsburg, Allegheny County. Police said Kramer faces a ticket for driving too fast for conditions. Gary E. Rodgers, 66, of Ellsworth, Ohio was driving the truck.
State Police, MercerAug. 24 — An identity thief stole $1,126 from a Liberty Township, Mercer County, man using a counterfeit debit card.
