Prospect Lt. Scott Hainley sprays a coat of firefighting foam on a barn fire as firefighters from Connoquenessing, Prospect and Butler Township fought the blaze Saturday afternoon.

Five 4H hogs died, and farm equipment and an antique tractor burned in the fire at 138 Eagle Mill Road, according to Joyce Laughlin, who lives on the property. She said the structure was insured. It’s still being determined how the fire may have started.
