3:26 p.m. Saturday — Jeffrey D. McMillen, 23, who has no known address, learned a lesson: before claiming to be a crime victim, make sure you're not on the other side of law yourself.McMillen showed up at the police station to report that someone had stolen his cell phone from a city home where he had been staying. But when he made his formal complaint, according to a police report, officers learned that Butler Township police were seeking him on a felony arrest warrant.That warrant was issued Nov. 19 in connection with a Sept. 30 burglary at a Lyndora home. McMillen and his alleged accomplice, Cody Howard, 23, of Slippery Rock, are accused of entering the house in the 200 block of Bessemer Avenue.Once inside, documents said, McMillen damaged property and Howard cut the electrical wire with the intention of selling it for scrap.City police arrested him on the warrant. But it got worse for McMillen. While being searched, officers turned up a spoon with suspected drug residue in a front pants pocket and more suspected drug contraband in a back pants pocket.He was placed in the Butler County Prison on the warrant. Meanwhile, police also charged him with possession of drug paraphernalia.Friday — Two delivered packages were reported stolen from the front porch of a home in the 300 block of Fairview Avenue. The victim, a 31-year-old woman, told police that UPS delivered the packages Nov. 21. The value of the stolen items totaled about $192.

8:27 a.m. Thursday — Nicholas Perri, 26, of Harmony was arrested after he allegedly tore up his family's home in the 300 block of Monroe Street. Perri is accused of using a kitchen chair to break furniture in the living room and kitchen, pictures in the hallway and glass in the rear French doors.The defendant's mother, Ann McGee, who owns the house, told police he also broke her work computer, according to court documents. Damaged was estimated at more than $1,000.Perri drove away in McGee's car, without her permission, after the suspected vandalism. Police, however, stopped the vehicle on Wood Street a short time later. District Judge Sue Haggerty arraigned him on charges of criminal mischief, terroristic threats and unauthorized use of a vehicle.He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $2,500 following arraignment.

6:24 a.m. Saturday — One person was hurt in a one-vehicle rollover wreck in northern Butler County.The crash happened when Chelsea E. Newman, 23, of Wyoming, Mich., lost control of her pickup truck, traveled onto the median and rolled onto its roof.Newman, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Police said she was cited for disregarding traffic lanes.1:34 a.m. Thursday — Donald L. Grossman, 28, of Clay Township was arrested after police used a Taser on him during a drunken driving detail in Brady Township.Grossman was a passenger in a car that was pulled over at Hallston Road and Route 8 as part of a roving DUI patrol. While police were giving the driver field sobriety tests, the suspect got out of the car. Troopers told him to get back in the car.He complied but he would not close the door. An officer had to shut the door.“The defendant then became aggressive,” according to court documents. Police in their report noted the “strong odor” of alcohol coming from him.Troopers said they told Grossman to get out of the car, but he refused. Police said when they tried to remove the suspect from the vehicle, he struggled. He was eventually pulled out from the driver's side and placed in handcuffs.But as he was being frisked, documents said, he became angry. Moments later, a trooper used his Taser's drive-stun mode on Grossman.District Judge Sue Haggerty arraigned Grossman on a charge of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. He was placed in the Butler County Prison and released the next day after posting $2,000 bail.Nov. 24 — Two unknown males are suspected of breaking into a soft drink machine at Forestville Beer Distributor on Route 8 in Mercer Township. The thieves between 9 p.m. and midnight made off with an undisclosed amount of change from the machine as well as a video surveillance camera outside the business.Police said the suspects were both wearing gray hooded sweatshirts and were driving a dark, older model sport utility vehicle, possibly a Chevrolet Blazer.According to a police report, images of the suspects captured on digital video is being enhanced.Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.

11:40 p.m. Thursday — Ice on the road was blamed for a two-car collision on Route 258 in Liberty Township, Mercer County. Hannah S. Christy, 20, of Cranberry Township lost control of her car and slid into the back of another car before hitting a mailbox. William D. Stoughton, 26, of Slippery Rock was the other driver.
