Tuesday — Police charged two Butler teenagers with spray painting three vehicles in the early morning hours Sept. 24 in the area of West Penn and North Washington streets.The suspects — 18-year-old Raymond C. Robinson and 19-year-old Donte A. Brandon — took off running when police spotted them. Officers nabbed Robinson but Brandon got away, a police report said.Both men are charged with criminal mischief, conspiracy to commit criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. Additionally, police cited Robinson for underage drinking and public drunkenness.11:38 a.m. Thursday — A 32-year-old man's cussing landed him a criminal charge.Police were initially called to Michael E. Knecht's apartment in the 300 block of North Cliff Street for a reported domestic dispute. The suspect's girlfriend told police that he slapped her but officers found no injuries on the woman, according to court documents.While Knecht was yelling and using profanities, police warned him to stop or be arrested. But he continued, documents said.When officers advised him he would be cited for disorderly conduct, he replied, “Freedom of (expletive) speech,” a police affidavit said.He was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct. Police in charging documents noted that two older women on a porch across the street were within hearing distance of Knecht's yelling and swearing.

Monday — Police charged Walter S. Kradel, 33, of Butler stemming from a Sept. 27 crash at East Jefferson Street and Hospital Way.Kradel was westbound on East Jefferson Street about 4 p.m. when he ran a red light and hit the side of a vehicle driven by Shane Miller, 18, of Chicora, that was turning left from Hospital Way.Kradel drove away. He and his unknown passenger ditched the vehicle a short time later and ran off. Police searched but could not immediately find them.The defendant is charged with fleeing or attempting to elude police, a misdemeanor. Police also ticketed him with nine traffic offenses, including driving without a license, driving with a suspended license-DUI related.Additionally, he was cited for failing to stop at a red light, leaving an unattended vehicle on private property, improperly abandoning a vehicle, driving at an unsafe speed, careless driving, reckless driving and failing to notify authorities of a change of address.3:15 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by John Kobik, 36, of Saxonburg struck a six-point buck on Meridian Road at McCalmont Road. The deer landed on the car, shattering the windshield and disabling the vehicle.Kobik was not hurt. Police found the deer dead on the side of the road.3:05 p.m. Saturday — Neil R. Kurowski, 35, of Saxonburg was arrested after he was caught allegedly shoplifting $19.70 in merchandise from the Walmart at Butler Commons. Kurowski, who has a prior shoplifting conviction, is charged with misdemeanor retail theft.1:38 p.m. Friday — Two people were hurt in a three-vehicle wreck on Route 422 at the Lyndora on-ramp. The crash happened when a pickup driven by Charles W. Brown Jr., 20, of Karns City and a van driven by Tabatha Hiles, 25, of Butler collided, causing the pickup to spin into a center concrete barrier.Linda Comman, 64, of Freeport swerved her car to avoid the truck but struck the van and the concrete barrier. She and Shirlee Brown, 52, of Karns City, a passenger in the pickup, suffered minor injuries. Shirlee Brown was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital and released.Police cited Charles Brown for driving without a license.12:12 p.m. Thursday — Vehicles driven by Joseph Cavaliero, 80, and Lori Korn, 27, both of Butler collided on Whitestown Road near Hansen Avenue. Police cited Cavaliero for failing to yield the right of way.3:32 p.m. Sept. 30 — An unknown white woman with long brown hair stole a cordless drill belonging to a company installing a fire extinguisher on the outside of the Butler Commons Walmart. The drill was in a shopping cart.The woman, described as being about 5 feet, 7 inches tall, 160 pounds and in her late-20s or early-30, left the area with a man and small child. They drove away in a tan Nissan Altima or Chevrolet Malibu.

2:20 p.m. Aug. 22 — Michael J. Gillespie, 30, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his sport utility vehicle crashed into a utility pole along Route 356 just north of Bricker Avenue in Summit Township.10:03 p.m. Sept. 30 — Thomas Lee Bell, 24, of Foxburg, Clarion County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after a one-vehicle crash on Route 38 in Venango Township.

Tuesday — An unknown burglar between 6 and 10 a.m. broke into an unoccupied house in the village of Lawsonham in Madison Township. A police report did not indicate if anything was stolen from the home, which is owned by a 56-year-old Rimersburg woman.

5:16 p.m. Saturday — A pickup truck driven by Daniel J. Carofino, 22, of New Castle struck a fire hydrant and tree along Route 208 just east of Barkeyville Road in Barkeyville. Police said Carofino was cited for a lane violation.

9:21 p.m. Monday — A pickup truck driven by Shawn C. Moon, 16, and a sport utility vehicle driven by Amy L. Corner, 40, both of Mercer collided at Route 208 and Old Mercer Road in Springfield Township. Police said Moon was cited for an unspecified traffic violation.Monday — Police cited the Kobold Watch Co. on Leesburg Station Road in Springfield Township for an unlawful alarm activation. The citation was issued because the shop had more than three false alarms in 12 months.10:30 p.m. Sept. 26 — Someone vandalized the doors at Prime Auto Wash at Route 208 and Veterans Road in Springfield Township. A police report did not indicate if there are any suspects.
