1:43 p.m. Sunday — Cars driven by Austin E. Nageotte, 19, of East Butler and Derrick A. Custer, 24, of Hilliards collided at College and Cross streets. Custer's car ended on top of hedges at a home in the 100 block of College Street, following the collision.

1:47 a.m. Saturday — Bryan R. Fisher Jr., 30, of Zelienople was badly hurt when he lost control of his car and crashed into a guardrail and center barriers on Route 19 just north of Route 528. Police suspect alcohol was a factor in the crash.Emergency crews got to the wreck and found Fisher had been thrown out of his vehicle. He was later flown by medical helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh with serious injuries. Those injuries, according to a police report, are not considered life-threatening.Harmony and Zelienople volunteer firefighters and Harmony EMS assisted at the scene. Police said their crash investigation continues.

2:32 a.m. today — Brian Vlassich, 33, of Butler is accused of smashing out two windows at the Millerstown Inn on South Main Street in Chicora. Vlassich faces a citation for criminal mischief.11:05 p.m. Sunday — Steven R. Kristophel, 67, of Slippery Rock was arrested after he allegedly placed a gun to his girlfriend's throat at a home in the 600 block of Branchton Road in Cherry Township.Kristophel was placed in the Butler County Prison to await arraignment this morning on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, terroristic threats, reckless endangerment, harassment and disorderly conduct.12:30 p.m. Saturday — Randy E. Zema, 55, of Cabot was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 422 in Clearfield Township.2:30 a.m. Thursday — Linda K. Barnes, 69, of Slippery Rock lost control of her car and crashed into a guardrail on Route 173 just west of Route 8 in Brady Township. Police cited Barnes for a lane violation.4:17 p.m. Wednesday — A minivan driven by Mark A. Clark, 58, of Glassport, Allegheny County, struck the back of a car on Route 19 just south of Old Route 29 in Cranberry Township. David M. Calabro, 43, of Pittsburgh was the other driver.Police cited Clark for a lane violation.Wednesday — A 12-year-old Butler boy allegedly stole another 12-year-old boy's bicycle in East Butler. The bike, which was taken earlier this month, was later recovered. The suspect, who police did not identify, is charged with theft in juvenile court.May 28 — An unknown burglar broke into a 60-year-old woman's home in the 200 block of Summit Road in Center Township. Police did not say if anything was taken in the daylight burglary.

5:43 p.m. Sunday — Mark W. Guntrum, 50, of Rimersburg was badly injured when the sport utility vehicle he was driving rear-ended another vehicle on Long Lane just west of Miller Road in Madison Township.Guntrum's vehicle rolled several times before landing on its wheels. The other vehicle, driven by Zachary T. Best, 19, no address given, rolled onto its side. Guntrum, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh with serious injuries.Best was taken to an undisclosed hospital with moderate injuries.Sunday — A burglar stole several unspecified items after kicking in the front door of a woman's home on Jones Road in Richland Township, Clarion County. The break-in happened between 7 p.m. Saturday and noon Sunday. Police have a suspect, who they did not identify.May 29 — Police believe that someone intentionally loosened the lug nuts on a vehicle owned by 23-year-old Parker woman. The crime occurred on Church Street in St. Petersburg. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 814-226-1710.

1:28 p.m. Sunday — Charles A. Rice, 73, no address given, was hurt when the motorcycle he was driving rear-ended a pickup truck that was slowing down on Route 19 near Grant City Road in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.Rice was taken to Jameson Hospital in New Castle with minor injuries. A police report did not indicate if he was wearing a helmet.
