Tuesday — Police obtained a felony arrest warrant for seven-time convicted shoplifter Benjamin D. Davidson, 35, of Butler, who is again accused of stealing merchandise from a store.This time, according to court documents, Davidson allegedly swiped two candy bars from the counter at Pizza Joe's on North Main Street. A surveillance camera caught the crime on video, police said. Officers recognized Davidson as the thief.Because of his repeat criminal record for shoplifting, Davidson is charged with a felony count of retail theft.11:37 p.m. Monday — Robert L. Runyan, 24, of Connoquenessing Township was arrested on a bench warrant on West Cunningham Street.The warrant was issued Feb. 5 after Runyan failed to appear at a hearing in connection with a 2008 burglary conviction, according to Butler County Court records. He was placed in the county jail on the warrant.2:55 p.m. Feb. 9 — Raymond L. Kaskie reported an unknown vehicle struck his pickup truck while it was parked overnight at his apartment in the 100 block of Maple Street.Kaskie estimated there was about $1,000 in damage to the rear passenger side of his Dodge Ram 3500. Police said Kaskie also found silver pieces of a car around his truck.

7:03 a.m. Monday — A sport utility vehicle driven by a 16-year-old Renfrew girl and a car driven by David Savage, 59, of Butler collided at South Duffy Road and Route 68.7 a.m. Monday — Christy Koerner, 18, of Butler lost control of her SUV and struck a concrete barrier on Route 422 near the Jefferson Street exit. After hitting the barrier, the vehicle traveled across both lanes and hit a guardrail.3:34 p.m. Sunday — Stephanie Steiger, 28, of Butler was caught allegedly stealing two pairs of earrings at the Kohl's store in the Butler Crossing shopping plaza. Police said Steiger is charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property.4:18 a.m. Sunday — Donald Gage, 40, and his wife, Rebecca Gage, 37, were both arrested following a domestic dispute at their home on Oakridge Drive.Both suspects were arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment and placed in the Butler County Prison. Each later posted $10,000 bail and was released.2:10 a.m. Sunday — Janel Hein, 22, of Butler was arrested on a warrant out of Lawrence County after she was spotted walking in a suspected “highly intoxicated” condition on Route 8 south in the area of Bredinville.Hein was placed in the Butler County Prison on the warrant. Police also cited her for public drunkenness.7:50 p.m. Friday — One person was hurt when an SUV driven by Paul Snow Jr., 55, of Butler struck a car on Route 68 at Delwood Road. A passenger in Snow's vehicle, Amy Snow, 46, of Butler, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with an unknown head injury.Jesse Hempel, 40, of Butler was the other driver. Mercer Road volunteer firefighters assisted police at the scene.

1:40 p.m. Tuesday — Two women were hurt when their sport utility vehicle crashed in East Franklin Township. Samantha Pyle, 24, of Kittanning lost control of the vehicle on snow-covered Route 422 at the Route 28 interchange and overturned on its roof.Pyle and her passenger, Christina Bernd, 26, of Ford City, were both taken to ACMH Hospital in East Franklin with unspecified injuries. Police said Pyle faces a ticket for a lane violation.East Franklin police and East Franklin and Applewold volunteer firefighters assisted at the scene.1:27 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by Bilal R. Abbey, 22, of Pittsburgh struck a guardrail after skidding on ice-covered Route 28 in Manor Township. Police said Bilal was cited for driving too fast for conditions.Feb. 12 — A woman was fleeced of two lambs that were at her home on Gaiser Road in West Franklin Township. Police have no suspects.

10:20 p.m. Jan. 25 — Cody R. Baker, 22, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 18 in Neshannock Township. Police said Baker was stopped for driving without headlights on.
