Saturday — Police reported that Justin W. Pflueger, 30, of Penn Township faces drunken driving charges stemming from a one-vehicle wreck about 2:10 a.m. Nov. 9 at Morton and Mackey avenues. Pflueger's car slammed into a utility pole at the intersection, breaking the pole half way up, a police report said.The suspect was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test. Police recently received toxicology results that showed Pflueger's blood-alcohol level was 0.182 percent, or more than twice the state's 0.08 percent legal limit.Wednesday — Brandon S. Smith, 25, of Lyndora was arrested for felony retail theft after allegedly shoplifting $97 in merchandise from the Kmart store in Pullman Square. Smith, who has two prior theft arrests, according to court documents, was arraigned on a felony count of retail theft. He is free on $5,000 unsecured bail.Tuesday — A suspected four-time drunken driver was charged with the same crime stemming from a two-vehicle wreck about 10:05 p.m. Sept. 28. Michael J. Ritzert, 50, of Chicora was allegedly intoxicated when he drove away after his car struck a truck in the 400 block of West Jefferson Street.Officers stopped the suspect's car a short time after the crash. A blood-test later showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.222 percent, according to court documents, nearly three times the state's legal limit.Ritzert is charged with driving under the influence and hit-and-run. Police noted in charging documents that the defendant has four prior DUI arrests.Nov. 18 — Police charged Matthew J. Walker, 19, of Oakland Township with failing to return more than two dozen DVDs and a video game that he rented Nov. 14 and 16 from Family Video on West Cunningham Street. The unreturned property is valued at a combined $1,031, court documents said.Walker is charged with theft of leased property.Nov. 18 — Police charged Nikolas A. Gaillot, 36, no known address, with stealing numerous video games and DVDs from a home where he was staying in the 300 block of North Monroe Street. The victim was Brian Collins.Gaillot is charged with theft and receiving stolen property.

Tuesday — Powell A. Cooper, 64, of Butler was arrested on felony drug charges in connection with a suspected heroin deal about 6 p.m. Oct. 30 on Broad Street. Powell allegedly sold four stamp bags of heroin to a police informant. Officers noted the deal happened directly across the street from Broad Street Elementary School.Powell was arraigned on charges of delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance. He is being held in the Butler County Prison on $30,000 bail.

12:45 p.m. Sunday — Chad N. Walter, 19, of Butler was arrested after allegedly violating a 21-year-old woman's protection from abuse order in Jefferson Township. Walter was placed in the Butler County Prison.9:05 a.m. Sunday — Logan J. Cahall, 17, of Butler was injured when he crashed his car into a tree along Evans Road just south of Barton Avenue in Butler Township. Cahall, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with unknown injuries. Police said he was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.2 a.m. Sunday — An unknown suspect caused about $500 in damage after driving a pickup truck through the front yard of a home on McLafferty Road in Clearfield Township.9:11 p.m. Saturday — A pickup truck driven by Breanne M. Dolby, 25, of Tarentum, Allegheny County, struck a ditch and flipped onto its roof on Saxonburg Boulevard in Clinton Township. Police said Dolby was cited for driving too fast for conditions.7:14 p.m. Saturday — Richard P. Ruffaner, 20, of Sarver lost control of his pickup and crashed into an embankment on Sun Mine Road in Clinton Township. The truck rolled over and landed on its roof. Police said Ruffaner was cited for driving too fast for conditions.5:29 p.m. Saturday — An Armstrong County man was hurt when he lost control of his pickup truck and crashed in Clearfield Township. Frank I. Law, 48, of Ford City, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to ACMH near Kittanning with moderate injuries.Law's truck slid off ice-covered Route 422 just west of McGrady Road and rolled over, according to a police report.Saturday — An unknown motorist between 8 and 9:30 p.m. drove through the backyard of a home in the 900 block of Sunset Drive in Center Township. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.9:27 p.m. Friday — Cars driven by Tarai A. Washington, 19, of Pittsburgh and Elexzis S. Miller-Fogle, 20, of Oil City, Venango County, collided at Harmony and Stadium roads in Slippery Rock Township. Police said Washington was cited for making an improper left turn.Nov. 15 — An unknown burglar wearing an improvised disguise broke into a golf ball machine and pop machine at the Victory Driving Range in Clinton Township. The suspect, who has a thin build, placed a bucket on his head as he committed the crime that happened between 4 and 4:30 a.m., a police report said.The crook made off with an unknown amount of money. Anyone with information about the burglary and theft is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.

4:15 p.m. Saturday — Sarah E. Oliver, 24, of Grove City was hurt when she lost control of her car and struck a ditch and gas meter before rolling over several times on Route 173 just north of Old Mill Road in Pine Township, Mercer County. Oliver, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Grove City Medical Center with minor injuries.Police said Oliver was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
