Butler Police8:01 p.m. Wednesday — Diane Caualero was the victim of a hit-and-run driver while her car was parked at a Pizza Hut.Caualero, 50, of Butler, said her car was hit sometime between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. while she was at work.Her car was parked at the Pizza Hut on West Cunningham Street.12:49 a.m. Wednesday — Joseph E. Vozar Jr. was charged with DUI after crashing his car into a sign in front of Family Video.Vozar, 23, of Butler was accompanied by Mitchell T. Graham, 19, of North Washington. Graham was charged with underage drinking.Police responded to a call about a car running into a pole. When they arrived at the scene, they witnessed Vozar’s Blazar stopped in the travel lane at the end of Third Avenue.The officer found a dent in the front of the car and debris matching the car was found near the sign.The officer smelled alcohol on Vozar’s breath and noticed slurred speech.Vozar admitted he had been drinking.A background check found Vozar was driving with a suspended license.Police found bottles of beer and a 9 mm pistol in his car.Vozar claimed he had a license to carry the gun.Vozar’s blood-alcohol reading was 0.137 percent, which added a charge of driving under the influence of a high rate of alcohol. The state minimum limit for driving under the influence is 0.08 percent.June 28 — Zachery S. Frobe was charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia after he was mistaken for another wanted person.Frobe, 23, of Lyndora was walking down Mercer Street when an officer noticed he matched the description of another wanted man.The officer did a background check on Frobe and found he was wanted by the Butler County Sheriff’s Department.As he was placed in custody, Frobe admitted he had a spoon, used syringe, and a suboxone strip in his pocket. He did not have a prescription for the suboxone.Frobe was transferred to Butler County Prison and informed he will be receiving a criminal complaint in the mail.

State Police, Butler6:44 p.m. Wednesday — Matthew J. Carlson, 31, of Butler was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after being stopped for a traffic violation on Evans City Road.Tuesday — The Cherry Township Municipal Building was broken into sometime between 3 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday.Nothing was reportedly stolen from the building other than the two padlocks that were locking the building.There are no known suspects at this time.Monday — Frederick A. Brostmeyer was charged with failing to stop at a stop sign after an accident on Route 422.Brostmeyer, 67, of North East pulled out of an unnamed street and was struck by a tractor-trailer driven by Kenneth J. Szakelyhidi, 44, of Ellwood City.Brostmeyer and two passengers in his car were treated for minor injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital.June 17 — An unknown suspect stole a Delmar Cement wet saw from an open construction trailer at Rummy Mart in Chicora.The saw, valued at $1,500, was stolen while work was being performed.April 22 — Brandon Gurowski, 20, of Slippery Rock was charged with theft of jewelry.Gurowski stole jewelry from Denise Lentz’s home in Worth Township and tried to pawn it at a pawnshop in New Castle.

State Police, ClarionJune 24-28 — Unknown suspects damaged Pennsylvania Game Commission property on Mount Zion Road in Piney Township.

State Police, KittanningTuesday — Kristy Troutman, 20, and Will Skalicky, 31, both of Brookville were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop in South Buffalo Township.Troutman and Skalicky were pulled over by police at 7:35 p.m. on Route 28 at Exit 18. The officer found drug paraphernalia on both suspects.Tuesday — Jeff Fox, 48, of Numine, was arrested at a traffic stop in South Buffalo Township after it was determined he was a wanted individual.After taking Fox into custody, police found a stamp bag of heroin in his car.Fox was placed in the Armstrong County Jail on his warrant.Charges are pending on lab results.
