4:54 p.m. Monday — Two people, including a girl, were hurt in a two-vehicle wreck on South Washington Street. The crash happened when Jason E. Siekierski, 39, of Butler Township lost control of his sport utility vehicle, possibly after he nodded off, and struck a parked car.Courtney Lang, 15, of Butler, who was seated in the car, suffered unknown injuries. She was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital. She did not have a seat belt on.Siekierski, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Police said he was cited for careless driving.

5 p.m. Saturday — Randy J. Rausch Jr., 35, of Butler is accused of taking more than $5,000 in property from a home on Township Line Road. The items were taken during a three-hour period. Police said Rausch is charged with felony counts of theft and receiving stolen property.12:15 p.m. Saturday — A 12-year-old boy suffered minor injuries when a car struck a bicycle he was riding on Meridian Road. Police said the boy, who they did not identify, was riding on the berm of the road and for an unknown reason swerved into the path of a northbound car driven by Cynthia Coffman, 54, of Renfrew.The child was taken by private vehicle to be checked at Butler Memorial Hospital.1:41 p.m. Friday — A vehicle driven by Susan J. Elass, 49, of Butler rear-ended another vehicle on the Route 422 on-ramp at Route 8. Police cited Elass for driving an at unsafe speed. Bethany Duncan, 27, of Kittanning was the other driver.

April 19 — Police charged Walter L. Thornton, 33, of Pittsburgh for driving a vehicle not equipped with a court-ordered ignition interlock device, stemming from a traffic stop about 1 a.m. March 30 on Lindsay Road. In addition to the ignition interlock violation, police charged Lindsay with careless driving and disregarding traffic lanes.

April 19 — Douglas M. Szramowski, 19, of Cranberry Township was charged with drugged driving, stemming from a traffic stop about 12:35 a.m. at West Beaver Street and Green Lane.Szramowski, in addition to driving under the influence of a controlled substance, is charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and careless driving.

Thursday — Angel M. Carothers, 35, of Butler was arrested on charges stemming from a suspected drug deal earlier this year in Butler. Carothers allegedly set up the deal by cell phone text messaging and sold 10 stamp bags of heroin to a police informant Jan. 11 at Pullman Square, according to court documents.She was arraigned on charges of delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility, all felonies. She also is charged with misdemeanor drug possession.Carothers, following arraignment, was placed in the Butler County Prison on $25,000 bail.

Monday — Kolter J. Furka, 23, of Renfrew was charged with drunken and drugged driving, stemming from a traffic stop at 1:54 a.m. March 6 on Route 173 at Etna Road in Slippery Rock Township.Police recently received toxicology results from a blood test, which showed he had marijuana in his system, according to court documents. His blood-alcohol level was 0.118 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.Furka is charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and a controlled substance, possession of a marijuana pipe, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving without insurance, a lane violation, following too closely to another vehicle and careless driving.Monday — Police filed drunken driving charges against Robert Charles Adams, 33, of Slippery Rock stemming from a traffic stop at South Main and Cooper streets in Slippery Rock.In addition to driving under the influence, Adams was cited for a lighting violation and not wearing a seat belt.10:50 p.m. Saturday — A minivan driven by Brian P. Rees, 42, of Hanover, York County, struck a deer on I-79 just north of West Park Road in Muddy Creek Township.8:20 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Michael A. Orner, 36, of Salisbury, Somerset County, struck a deer on I-79 in Jackson Township.4:18 a.m. Saturday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Mary L. Uhler, 58, of Polk, Venango County, struck a deer on I-79 in Worth Township.1:07 a.m. Saturday — Christopher S. Malis, 37, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Covert Road in Brady Township.12:40 a.m. Saturday — Two men were badly hurt when their car crashed on I-79 in Muddy Creek Township. Devon L. Burkert, 24, of Harrisville lost control of the car while trying to change lanes and struck an embankment.Burkert, and his passenger, Brian Lownds, no age given, of Emlenton, were thrown out of the car as it rolled over two times. Neither man was wearing a seat belt. Both were taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with major injuries.Police said Burkert was cited for a lane violation.Saturday — A red, Troy-Bilt rototiller was stolen from a home in the 400 block of Sun Mine Road in Clinton Township. The 5-hp tiller, valued at $400, was stolen between Dec. 25 and Saturday.2 a.m. Friday — An unknown vandal damaged a mailbox in the 1400 block of West Sunbury Road in Clay Township.9:05 p.m. Thursday — Cars driven by Justin Keller, 24, of Dowingtown, Chester County, and Dian L. Wolfe, 54, of Butler collided on Hinchberger Road just west of Lynn-Mar Lane in Summit Township. Police said Keller was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.6:45 p.m. April 22 — A car driven by Randy S. Dengler, 18, of Leechburg, Armstrong County struck a utility pole along Ralston Road just east of Ralston Road in Slippery Rock Township. Police said Dengler was cited for a lane violation.
