9:09 p.m. Sunday — Michael G. Watt, 36, of Butler was arrested on felony shoplifting charges stemming from the alleged theft of beer on separate days at Gorillo's Pizza on South Monroe Street. Watt is accused of stealing two 12-packs of beer on Saturday. He also is suspected of taking two 12-packs of beer on March 19.Watt is charged with felony retail theft because he has three prior shoplifting convictions.1:32 a.m. March 17 — Aloysious Highhawk Watts, 22, of Sarver was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at South Main and Birch streets. In addition to DUI, Watts was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.

3:15 p.m. Thursday — Sean Hooper, 24, of Grove City was arrested after allegedly shoplifting a $498 television from the Walmart store in Butler Commons. Hooper was arraigned on a charge of retail theft, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $2,000 bail.

4:30 p.m. Sunday — Christopher Dinger, 25, of Zelienople was arrested for suspicion of drugged driving at Evans City and Hartman roads in Jackson Township. Police said they found Dinger and his passenger, Matt Dwyer, 25, of Freedom, Beaver County, with suspected marijuana and other contraband.Dinger faces charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance. He and Dwyer also faces misdemeanor drug charges, according to a police report.8:20 p.m. Saturday — Four people were hurt in a three-vehicle chain-reaction accident on Route 8 in Clay Township. The crash happened when a sport utility vehicle driven by Thomas C. Berger, 34 of Slippery Rock rear-ended a car driven by Maurice A. Goodwin, 43, of Butler.The collision forced Goodwin's vehicle into the back of a car driven by Brian S. Nicklas, 36, of Pittsburgh. Berger, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to the Grove City Medical Center with minor injuries. Goodwin and two of his passengers, who police did not identify, were treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.Berger was cited for driving too fast for conditions.1:23 a.m. Saturday — Shane P. Miller, 22, of Prospect was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 258 in Connoquenessing Township.5:52 p.m. Friday — A blown tire was blamed for a one-vehicle accident in Cranberry Township. The wreck happened when Robin A. Collins, 49, of New Castle lost control of her car and struck a concrete barrier on the Interstate 79 south exit ramp.Friday — Two gold rings and a gold necklace were stolen from a jewelry box from a home in the 400 block of Sunmine Road in Clinton Township. The theft happened between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.Friday — A blue and white, 2009 Yamaha YZ250 dirt bike was stolen from a home in the 500 block of Lardintown Road in Clinton Township. The bike was taken between 10 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.

Saturday — A 37-year-old man was found dead at a home in Rimersburg. Police did not identify the Rimersburg man, who died between 11 p.m. Friday and 4 a.m. Saturday.The death remains under investigation. Police said they are awaiting an autopsy report and toxicology tests.9:30 p.m. Friday — An unknown vandal fired yellow paintballs at two homes on Cherry Run Road in Toby Township.

11:05 a.m. Thursday — James W. Boorech, 58, of Emlenton was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 322 in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

12:57 p.m. Saturday — Ryan M. Raithel, 32, of Wexford was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after he was stopped for speeding on Route 28 in Harmar Township, Allegheny County.2:35 a.m. Saturday — A 23-year-old Kittanning man is suspected of stealing a Kittanning woman's gun in East Franklin Township. Police did not identify the suspect or the firearm, which is valued at $727.

Thursday — A vandal smashed a mailbox at a home on Dutch Ridge Road in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. The vandalism happened between 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.
