3:41 p.m. Thursday — Cars driven by Joshua W. Hoover, 25, of Kittanning and John Bellini, 39, of Butler collided on Kittanning Street. The collision forced Bellini's car into the back of a building. The building, owned by Joe Negley, was not damaged.3:07 p.m. Thursday — A pickup truck driven by Zachary S. Collins, 18, of Butler rear-ended a sport utility vehicle on Cunningham Street. The crash forced the SUV driven by Jane S. Baroffio, 57, of Center Township into the back of a pickup driven by Stephen J. Fleming, 18, of Butler.

8:41 a.m. Tuesday — A 17-year-old student was caught with an alcoholic beverage at Butler High School. The student, who they did not identify, is charged with underage drinking.

Wednesday — Ronald Earl Jones, 40, of Mercer was arrested on a warrant stemming from a suspected drug deal at Memorial Park on June 9.Jones was arraigned on charges of delivery of a controlled substance, criminal use of a communication facility and possession of a controlled substance. He is free on $50,000 unsecured bail.

Tuesday — Shawn B. Nichols, 21, of Pittsburgh, an inmate at the Butler County Prison, was charged with making unauthorized telephone calls using another inmate's phone identification number.Nichols between Nov. 19 and Dec. 6 made 12 phone calls without inmate Raymond Wyant Jr.'s permission. The cost of the calls, which totaled $87.99, were billed to Wyant's prison account. Nichols is charged with theft.

4:50 p.m. Thursday — A vehicle driven by Kathryn A. Nagle, 42, of Butler rear-ended a sport utility vehicle at Route 38 and Bruin Road in Washington Township. Police said Nagle was cited for an unspecified traffic violation. Janet E. Thoma, 52, of Petrolia was driving the SUV.7:30 p.m. Wednesday — An Arkansas man was arrested after allegedly attacking and seriously injuring another man on Cherry Blossom Drive in Connoquenessing Township. Todd E. Watt, 28, of Evans City suffered major facial injuries in the incident, according to a police report.Watt's suspected attacker, Donald A. Camp, 22, of Solgohachia, was arraigned on charges of felony and misdemeanor assault, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $75,000 bail.Wednesday — Kenneth J. Roy, 58, was charged with selling ecstasy to a police informant during an alleged deal earlier this year in Butler. Roy on Jan. 15 allegedly sold 11 ecstasy pills for $90 at his home in the 200 block of East Locust Street, according to court documents.Roy is charged with delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.7:45 a.m. Sunday — A SUV driven by Shelby Campbell, 23, of Butler hit several trees along Evans City Road in Connoquenessing Township. No injuries were reported. She was cited for not driving at a safe speed.1:30 a.m. March 1 — A car driven by Nathan Rettig, 23, of Prospect hit a fence along Stone Church Road in Muddy Creek Township. He was cited for not driving at a safe speed.

5:45 a.m. Wednesday — Suzanne E. Dambach, 61, of New Castle was hurt when the sport utility vehicle she was driving crashed into a house after sliding off snow-covered Old State Road, just south of Center Church Road in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.Dambach, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. No other injuries were reported in the wreck. Police said Dambach was cited for driving too fast for conditions.Saturday — The Bulk Food and Company on Main Street in Volant reported that a burglary occurred between 9 a.m. Feb. 23 and 11:31 a.m. March 2 in which several boxes of inventory as well as computer and disc jockey equipment were taken. Estimates for a damaged door and door frame as well as missing inventory has not been calculated yet. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at 724-598-2211.
