6:31 p.m. Wednesday — Cars driven by Marci Haniwalt, 27, of Renfrew and Jennifer Easley, 40, of Butler collided at East Brady and North Monroe street.10:51 a.m. Wednesday — Three people were hurt in a three-vehicle crash at East Jefferson and Second streets.The crash happened, police said, when a pickup truck driven by Leroy Steiner, 18, of Oakland Township struck the rear of a sport utility vehicle driven by David Hassler, 29, of Butler. The SUV was forced into the opposing lane where it collided with a car driven by Dewayne Molinari, 48, of Butler Township.Hassler, Molinari and Julie Grapes, 34, of Butler Township, a passenger in the car, were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries; all were wearing seat belts. Police said Steiner was cited for following too closely to another vehicle.

3:34 p.m. Wednesday — Timothy Houtz, 26, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend during a domestic dispute on Bessemer Avenue. Houtz was arraigned on a charge of simple assault, and placed in Butler County Prison on $3,000 bail.3:30 p.m. Tuesday — A boy at Butler Intermediate High School was caught with a marijuana grinder. The student, who police did not identify, is charged in juvenile court with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.2:22 p.m. Tuesday — Sport utility vehicles driven by Susie Zavacky, 80, of Butler and James Mahood, 34, of Chicora collided on Cooledge Street. Zavacky suffered a minor injury.7:55 p.m. Monday — Robert G. White, 56, of Butler was arrested after an altercation with police officers called for a disturbance outside Denny Offstein Auto Sales on Hazel Avenue.Police said when they got there they found White yelling at Offstein. When police told him to be quiet, he got into an officer's face, according to court documents, and continued yelling.He began struggling with police when they tried to arrest him. Officers had to take him to the ground, documents said. After a brief struggle, he was placed in handcuffs, police said.White is charged with resisting arrest and defiant trespass.

5:19 p.m. Thursday — Brittany M. Miner, 25, of New Wilmington swerved her sport utility vehicle to avoid an unidentified vehicle and struck a ditch on Lessburg Station Road near Route 19 in Springfield Township.2:43 p.m. Wednesday—Beverly A. Rossi, 62, of Mercer was hurt when she swerved her car to avoid a dog and struck a utility pole along Route 19 in Springfield Township. Rossi, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered a minor injury.

Sunday — A 30-gallon, Craftsman air compressor and two speakers mounted in a wooden and carpeted gray box were stolen in a burglary at a Heinz Camp Road home in Perry Township. The break-in happened between April 1 and Sunday.

Tuesday — The RX Xpress /BiLo sign at the corner of Mill and Jackson streets was damaged between Monday and Wednesday. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at 724-458-7925.

Tuesday — Police filed two narcotics trafficking cases against 65-year-old George T. Porter of Butler, stemming from a pair of suspected drug deals in December and January.Porter is accused of selling 0.19 grams of crack cocaine and 0.24 grams of heroin to a police informant for $70. The alleged deal occurred in the 600 block of North Main Street.On Jan. 26 at his city apartment, documents said, he sold 0.12 grams of heroin to an informant for $50.He was arraigned on three counts each of delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance, and placed in Butler County Prison on $50,000 bail.

5:35 p.m. Tuesday — Shawn R. Woodruff, 33, of Sarver was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his sport utility vehicle struck a tree along Lardintown Road in Clinton Township. Woodruff, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.<B></B>
