Lois J. Arnold, 78, of Rustic Ridge Lane died Thursday morning at Allegheny University Hospital-Allegheny General in Pittsburgh.

Born in New Kensington on July 26, 1929, she was the daughter of Alfred and Margaret McGrady Frye and Emma Frye, her stepmother who raised her.

A retired licensed practical nurse, she worked at Sunnyview Home for 31 years. She was also an Avon sales representative for more than 28 years and was a member of the Avon Presidents Club.

She was a member of St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church at Carbon Center.

She was the loving mother of Rita Webber and her husband, Larry, of Butler, and Brian Trautman of Texas; stepmother of James Trautman and his wife, Darlene, of Parker City, Ind., and Elizabeth Murin of Butler; devoted grandmother of Cristina (Steven) Black, Melissa (Greg) Slater, Emily Elser, Breanna Trautman, James (Kara) Trautman, Jamalene (James) Snyder and Michelle Murin; great-grandmother to Trevin and Summer Slater, Nicholas and Owen Black, Kaylee and Evan Snyder, Devin, Krister and James Trautman; loving sister of Henry Frye of Kansas, Dolores (Floyd) Neigh of Butler, Shirley (Clarence "Butch") Anderson of Hooker, Bernadette (Actorina) DeAngelo of Barkeyville, Patricia (Raymond) Weiland of Butler, and Stella (Richard) Eppinger of Butler.

James Trautman was her first husband and he died in June 1957. She later married Elmer G. Arnold, who died in September, 1980.

She also was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

<B>ARNOLD</B> — Friends of Lois J. Arnold, who died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home, </B>201 E. Cunningham St.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church, Carbon Center, 210 St. Wendelin Road, Butler.
