Sunday - Rita Filippone of Connoquenessing Township reported that the Pennsylvania license plate - EPG9334 - was stolen from her vehicle parked at the tier garage.10:49 p.m. Saturday - Four teenagers riding in a car were cited for drug-related charges following a traffic stop on Route 8 South.Cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana were Joseph Ludwik, 18, of Renfrew; Michael Marcucci, 19, of Butler; and a 17-year-old Butler boy, whom police did not identify. James Stevens, 19, of Butler was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.James McKenna IV, 28, of Butler, who was driving the car, was cited for several traffic violations including speeding, driving with a suspended license and driving a vehicle with a suspended registration.11:26 a.m. Saturday - Cars driven by Mary Thompson, 71, of Butler and Anthony Mangieri, 65, of New Castle collided at West New Castle and North Washington streets. Mangieri, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. He was cited for a stop sign violation.4:36 p.m. Friday - A 17-year-old Butler boy, whom police did not identify, was arrested following a disturbance at a Mercer Street home. Police arrested the boy, who was found with three stamp bags of suspected heroin. He is charged in juvenile court with possession of a controlled substance and trespass.9:50 p.m. Thursday - David Wahl, 22, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence at New Castle and Fifth streets.
10:55 p.m. Sunday - A car driven by Audra Fine, 21, of Butler struck an embankment and rolled onto its side on Carbon Center Road near Donaldson Road in Clearfield Township.Fine and two passengers, Tiffany McClure, 21, and Pamela Fine, 47, both of Butler, were taken with unknown injuries to Armstrong County Memorial Hospital in Kittanning. All three occupants were wearing seat belts.7:30 p.m. Sunday - Six people were injured when a car driven by Henry Tolino, 70, of Butler and a mini-van driven by Michael Stewart, 38, of Parker collided on slush-covered Route 38 in Washington Township.Taken with unknown injuries to Butler Memorial Hospital were both drivers; two passengers in the car, Janet Winkler, 70, and Anna Smith, 69, both of Valencia; and two passengers in the van, Arlene Stewart, 47, and Lillian Stewart, 6, both of Parker. All six occupants were wearing seat belts.1:10 a.m. Sunday - A man and a teenager were arrested in connection with an altercation at a home at the intersection of Sutton Lane and McGregor Road in Clay Township.Dewayne Cousins, 41, of Butler and a 17-year-old Butler area boy, whom police did not identify, are both charged with simple assault. Police said Cousins assaulted the teen and Ginger Cousins, 38, of Butler. The boy allegedly assaulted Dewayne Cousins. Police said Dewayne Cousins is also charged with terroristic threats.1 a.m. Sunday - Two purses and an undisclosed amount of currency was taken from a car at the Friedman's parking lot in Center Township. The car was damaged in the theft.Sunday - A gold ring valued at $100 was taken Saturday or Sunday from a display case at the Clearview Mart Flea Market on Route 8 in Center Township. Eileen Phillips of Butler owns the ring.10:20 p.m. Saturday - David Robertson, 29, of Petrolia and Michele Pyle, 31, of Chicora were arrested following a domestic dispute outside a North Main Street home in Chicora. Robertson and Pyle, who both suffered minor injuries, are charged with simple assault.7:20 p.m. Saturday - A car driven by Joseph Paul, 32, of Prospect struck an embankment and flipped onto its roof along Route 488 in Muddy Creek Township. Paul, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.4:45 p.m. Saturday - Someone took a wallet inadvertently left behind in a fitting room at JC Penney, Clearview Mall, in Center Township. Charlotte Kunzler of Renfrew owns the wallet.Saturday - Four hubcaps valued at $200 were taken between 4:30 and 11:30 p.m. from a mini-van on Route 8 near Wick Road in Slippery Rock Township. Leroy Troutman owns the stolen property.8:03 p.m. Friday - A car driven by a 16-year-old Cabot girl, whom police did not identify, and Franklin Stowers, 47, of Schenley, Allegheny County, collided on Bonniebrook Road in Jefferson Township. The teen's car, after the collision, struck a pickup truck driven by Andrew Regrut, 25, of Saxonburg.Two passengers in the teen's car, Robert Fry, 25, of Cabot, who was not wearing a seat belt, and a 16-year-old girl, whom police did not identify, and who was wearing a seat belt, were taken with minor injuries to Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights, Allegheny County.5:55 p.m. Friday - Cars driven by Amanda Duncan, 23, of Butler and Russell Bachman, 60, of Summit Township collided on Route 356 in Jefferson Township.Duncan, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered moderate injuries. A passenger in Bachman's car, Beverly Bachman, 59, of Summit Township, suffered minor injuries. She was wearing a seat belt. Police said Duncan faces several undisclosed traffic violations.4:30 p.m. Friday - A car driven by Keith Marshall, no age given, and a pickup truck driven by Joseph Genova, no age given, both of Butler, collided on Route 528 near Upper Harmony Road in Forward Township.4:11 p.m. Friday - Cars driven by Ashley Dilick, 24, of Renfrew and Damien Bisceglia, 36, of Pittsburgh collided on Bonniebrook Road in Jefferson Township. Bisceglia's car, following the collision, struck a car driven by Dawn Schecengost, 34, of Sarver. Dilick and Schecengost, both wearing seat belts, suffered minor injuries.Friday - Dezerea Freshwater reported that an undisclosed amount of money was taken between 8 p.m. Wednesday and 1 p.m. Friday from her mobile home in a burglary at Peter Rabbit Campground in Brady Township.Friday - Brian Skwirut of Lyndora reported that his motorcycle was taken between 11:15 p.m. Thursday and 6 p.m. Friday from a yard at a Perry Highway home in Lancaster Township. The motorcycle is a blue, 2001 Yamaha YZF 250. The bike has flame graphics on its exterior and gold rim wheels.5:30 p.m. Thursday - An unknown burglar posing as a cable television employee entered a Graham Road home in Worth Township and made off with an undisclosed amount of money and jewelry.The elderly homeowner described the burglar as white, 5 feet, 6 inches tall with a medium build; he is balding with dark brown hair and has a dark complexion. He left the home driving a dark gray, newer model van.Police warn homeowners to ask to see identification of people they don't know before letting them inside their homes.3:15 p.m. Thursday - A pickup truck driven by Erick Zamperini, 28, of New Kensington, Westmoreland County, struck the rear of a car driven by Robert Williams, 21, of Lower Burrell, Westmoreland County, on Bonniebrook Road in Jefferson Township.The collision forced Williams' car into the rear of a car driven by Lisa Alsippi, 25, of New Kensington. Alsippi, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered moderate injuries.Zamperini, who was not wearing a seat belt, and Williams, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Rick Horzempa, 27, of New Kensington, a passenger in the pickup, was not wearing a seat belt, and Michael Szypulski, 21, of New Kensington, a passenger in Alsippi's car who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Police said Zamperini faces a citation for driving too fast for conditions.7:15 a.m. Thursday - A car driven by Corey Isovitsch, 22, of Butler and a mini-van driven by James Green Jr., 46, of Butler collided on Route 8 near McCandless Road in Center Township.Green's vehicle, following the crash, struck the rear of a sport utility vehicle driven by Richard Beilstein, 37, no address given. Green and a passenger in the van, Mary Green, 43, of Butler, suffered minor injuries.3:09 a.m. Thursday - Jason Clifford Martin, 22, of Export, Westmoreland County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 8 and Staff Road in Brady Township.12:01 a.m. Thursday - An unknown driver of an unidentified pickup truck struck a tractor-trailer at Grant Avenue and 10th Street in East Butler, and did not stop following the crash. Thomas Manges, no age given, of Donora, Washington County, was driving the tractor-trailer.11:50 p.m. Tuesday - An unknown driver in a dark-colored pickup truck struck a car at Route 108 and Barron Road in Worth Township and did not stop following the crash. John Tooles, 21, of Severna, Md., was driving the car.
6:55 p.m. Friday - Paul Pierce, 44, of Springdale, Allegheny County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his van struck an embankment and rolled over on Route 218 near Clinton Road in South Buffalo Township, Armstrong County.9 p.m. Wednesday - Philip Geer, 26, of Rural Valley accidentally shot himself in the right leg with a BB gun, apparently target shooting inside a Garretts Run Road home in Manor Township, Armstrong County. Geer was treated at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital in Kittanning and released.
8:56 a.m. Tuesday - A vehicle driven by Sara Beth McClure, 20, of Pittsburgh struck an embankment and rolled over on Route 208 near Old Ash Road in Springfield Township, Mercer County. McClure, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken with minor injuries to United Community Hospital in Grove City.
