Yvonne Struble
Yvonne H. “Dolly” Struble, 83, of Evans City, passed away on Monday, Jan. 3, 2022, while under the care of ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born Jan. 8, 1938, in Petrolia, she was the daughter of the late Leighton Long and Gladys (Flatness) Long.
Dolly worked for 30 years at Sacks Biological as a shipping and receiving specialist. Earlier in life, she was employed by Westinghouse and Lakewood Memorial Gardens.
Dolly held a strong faith, and was a member of West Deer Bible Church in Gibsonia. She enjoyed performing her daily Bible devotions and singing hymns.
She loved to bake and to read. She also adored all animals, and enjoyed watching the birds at her bird feeder. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Alanna (Samuel) Warren of Cranberry Township, and Katy (Shane) Walters of Glenshaw; her son, Glenn H. Struble of Evans City; her stepdaughters, Gloria A. Fawcett of Templeton, and Joan L. (Thomas) Hice of Sarver; her nine grandchildren, Sarah Struble, Justin Fawcett, Sherri Thompson, Melanie (Chris) Coyle, Kristen (Brian) Schlauderaff, Kayla Warren, Tyler Warren, Alexia Walters and Eli Walters; six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Richard “Dick” (Linda) Long of Evans City; her loving sister-in-law, Patricia Struble; and her loving best friend of 65 years, Ruth Cox.
In addition to her parents, Dolly was preceded in death by her husband, Howard F. “Bud” Struble Jr., who died in 2018; and her brother, Thomas Long.
STRUBLE — Friends of Yvonne H. “Dolly” Struble, who died Monday, Jan. 3, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Boylan Funeral Home, 116 E. Main St., Evans City.
Additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral ceremony at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
She will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Burial Estates.
