Norman ‘Bill’ Barthlow

Norman William “Bill” Barthlow, 71, of Butler, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2026.

Born Jan. 27, 1955, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Jack Barthlow Jr. and Norma Ruth McMillen Barthlow.

Bill was a faithful member of Bakerstown Presbyterian Church where he was a deacon, elder and played in the church band. He loved music and enjoyed playing bass guitar, keyboard and the accordion. Bill was employed as an executive with North Pittsburgh Telephone for over 30 years. He enjoyed working on classic cars, taking daily walks and above all, spending time with his grandkids. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Tina Gable Barthlow, whom he married on July 11, 1981; his three children, Amanda (Nate) DeRight, Josh (Katie) Barthlow and Nathan (Jennah) Barthlow; his nine grandchildren, Landen, Emma, Camryn, Jackson, Mila, Harper, Grant, Gianina and Vivianna, and one on the way; his sister, Janelle (Tom) Voit; his father- and mother-in-law, Al and Bonnie Gable; and his sisters-in-law, Kelly Swartz, Melinda Peterman and Melissa Landmesser.

BARTHLOW — Friends of Norman William “Bill” Barthlow, who died Wednesday, July 29, 2026, will be received for visitation from 3 p.m. until the time of a funeral service at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew, with Pastor Jeremy Collins officiating.
