Patricia Ann Herman, 85, of Cabot, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Concordia Skilled Nursing in Cabot.

The daughter of Cecil W. Rice and Marjorie A. Sanford Rice, she was born in Bronxville, N.Y., and spent her early years in Scarsdale, N.Y., Santa Barbara, Calif., and Riverside, Conn.

Pat graduated from Cedar Crest College in 1963 and moved to California, where she lived for many years. It was there she met her first husband, Jack Herman, and adopted his daughter, Cynthia Herman Martin, to raise as her own. Her son, Taylor Martin, is now deceased. Pat met her second husband, Rick Arnold, in California and they lived a very happy life in California, Tucson and Pennsylvania.

In addition to her husband and daughter, Cynthia, Pat is survived by her sister, Sheila Rice Evans; two nephews, Aubrey Evans, and his children, Claire and Elyse, Shade Evans and his son, Ocean; one niece, Aysha Ault, and her children, Aubrey Ella and Cooper; Rick’s daughter, Stacey Long, and her children, Owen and Griffin; and her dear dog, Stevie.

HERMAN — A celebration of life for Patricia Ann Herman, who died Wednesday July 29, 2026, will be held in the near future.

Memorial donations may be made to the Children’s Tumor Foundation at CTF.org.
