1:36 a.m. Sunday — Douglas A. McAnallen, 45, of Lyndora was arrested after he allegedly threatened his ex-wife at her home on East Walnut Street and kicked her car.

The victim said the defendant first showed up Saturday night. He allegedly threatened the woman. Police were called back to the home at 1:36 p.m. Sunday after McAnallen returned and used obscenities while there.

He is accused of kicking the victim’s car, causing more than $1,000 in damage.

McAnallen was arraigned on charges of terroristic threats, simple assault and criminal mischief. He is free on his own recognizance.

11:15 p.m. Wednesday — Patrick J. Olexsak, 48, of Butler Township was arrested for drunken driving after he was pulled over in the 800 block of West New Castle Street.

Police said an officer spotted the defendant traveling about 50 mph on West Jefferson Street, which has a posted 25 mph limit, according to court documents.

Olexsak a short time later passed a pizza delivery driver’s car on the left before changing to the right lane without signaling and cutting off the other vehicle.

The defendant admitted that he’d consumed “a few” drinks that evening, documents said, and he subsequently was taken for a breath test that showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.147 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.

In addition to driving under the influence, he is charged with driving at an unsafe speed and failing to use signals when changing lanes.

Thursday — Sara F. Al-Anazi, 27, of Franklin Township was charged with having suspected crack cocaine and other drug contraband stemming from a February traffic stop on Miller Avenue.

Police said they pulled over Al-Anazi’s car about 11:10 p.m. Feb. 28 for an expired registration. Following the stop, according to court documents, they found out her license was suspended and her inspection sticker was expired.

A tow truck was called and an inventory search of the car was conducted. Police said they seized a cloth bag containing two syringes, a plastic spoon and a compact mirror.

“Hidden underneath the makeup portion of the compact mirror,” documents said, “was a plastic baggie containing crack cocaine.”

Al-Anazi is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license-DUI related, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving a vehicle without inspection and driving without insurance.

Wednesday — Police charged Tyler C. Lasher, 22, of Butler in connection with a hit-and-run crash earlier this month on Center Avenue.

The victim told police that she was traveling down Center Avenue when a vehicle struck her. The other driver stopped briefly before leaving. Two witnesses provided similar accounts to that of the victim, whose car sustained damage.

Police were provided the license plate number of the other vehicle, which led them to Lasher. He is charged with hit-and-run.

1:23 a.m. April 13 — A Venango County man was caught with suspected drug contraband after police stopped his car on South Main Street for having a loud exhaust system.

Police said that while speaking to the defendant, Brian D. White, 47, of Oil City, they noticed he was holding a small pocket knife in his right hand. Officers conducted a pat-down search of White, court documents said, which turned up a metal smoking pipe in one of his pants pockets.

Additionally, police said they found a metal measuring. Both the cup and the pipe had suspected crack cocaine residue on them.

He is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and driving a vehicle with a faulty exhaust system.
