Monday — Michael G. Watt, 42, of Butler was charged with felony shoplifting for allegedly taking two items valued at a combined $10.68 on Sept. 25 at the Walgreens store on New Castle Road. He also was intoxicated and asking customers for money, according to a police report.
Watt, who has at least two prior shoplifting convictions, is charged with a felony count of retail theft. He also was cited for public drunkenness.
Police said Watt was arrested at the scene for an unrelated arrest warrant previously issued to Butler police.
Monday — Police charged Jason L. Weber, 33, and Stephanie L. Weber, 35, both of Butler, with stealing merchandise in August at the Butler Commons’ Walmart. The pair is accused of taking 26 items valued at $181.27 on Aug. 4.
Both defendants are charged with misdemeanor counts of retail theft and conspiracy.
Monday — Jessica L. Lewis, 46, of Butler was charged with taking unpaid merchandise over the course of a month apparently beginning in March at the Butler Commons’ Walmart. In all, she allegedly took 93 items valued at $459.18.
She is charged with misdemeanor counts of retail theft and receiving stolen property.
1:05 p.m. Saturday — A vehicle driven by Jody W. Callahan, 58, of Monaca, Beaver County, struck the back of a car on South Benbrook Road. The wreck happened when the other driver, Douglas Andre, 25, of Chicora, was turning into a driveway.
Police cited Callahan for driving at an unsafe speed.
12:16 a.m. Friday — Joshua N. Seybert, 22, of Butler was found with suspected marijuana and other drug contraband after a call for a suspicious vehicle at the Vets Club parking lot on Vets Club Road.
Seybert is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
4:21 p.m. Friday — A vehicle driven by Albert McGrath, 82, of Butler rear-ended another vehicle on Whitestown Road at Hansen Avenue. Robert Gavula, 72, of Butler was the other driver.
No one was hurt but McGrath’s vehicle had to be towed. He was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.
Wednesday — Police obtained a felony arrest warrant for Stacy L. Bastian, 46, of Harmony stemming from a shoplifting incident Sept. 17 at the Sheetz store on New Castle Road.
Bastian, who has at least four prior shoplifting convictions, is charged with a felony count of retail theft. She also was cited for driving with a suspended license-DUI related.

5:37 p.m. Sunday — A Washington County teenager was flown by medical helicopter with injuries suffered when she swerved to avoid a deer and crashed in Washington Township.
Police said Hailey G. Kellerman, 18, of Bentleyville lost control of her car and struck an embankment on Fairview Road just west of Bruin Road. She was wearing a seat belt.
Her condition was not known. Her car had to be towed.
Sunday — Police reported they are seeking help from the public in connection with a vehicle theft on Sept. 16 in Jefferson Township. Someone, according to a police report, moved a vehicle from Green Manor Drive to Bull Creek Road.

Sept. 24 — Police charged Alyssa J. Rathmann, 31, of Clay Township with having marijuana stemming from a one-vehicle wreck in September in Clay Township. The rollover crash happened about 5 p.m. Sept. 14 on Euclid Road in Clay Township.
Rathmann was standing outside her sport utility vehicle, which was on its driver’s side, when troopers got there. Belongings from the vehicle were scattered on the road, according to court documents.
Police said that among the items, they noticed a plastic bag containing suspected marijuana. Rathmann admitted she had purchased it a week ago, documents said, and had forgotten it was in the vehicle.
She is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct, disregarding traffic lanes and driving at an unsafe speed.
Sept. 21 — Jeanie A. Maffei, 63, of Butler was charged with drugged driving stemming from an August traffic stop in Butler Township. Police said she was stopped about 7:10 p.m. Aug. 31 on Route 8 south.
According to court documents, Maffei handed police a debit card when they asked for her driver’s license. She subsequently failed field sobriety testing and a search of her car turned up a plastic straw with suspected drug residue.
Maffei was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test. Toxicology results showed she had morphine and fentanyl in her system.
She is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
