Myers had eight drugs in his system, according to court documents, when he was pulled over Oct. 19 because his vehicle’s registration was suspended.

He admitted that he was on Suboxone, and field sobriety testing indicated he was impaired, police said.

Myers was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test following an evaluation by a certified drug recognition expert.

Toxicology reports showed that he tested positive for marijuana, cocaine, gabapentin, benzoylecgonine, carisoprodol, meprobamate, buprenorphine and norbuprenorphine.

He was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, driving with a suspended license-DUI related, driving a vehicle with suspended registration and driving a vehicle without valid inspection.

Nov. 28 — Matthew S. Schaffner, 31, of Allegheny Township was drunken and drugged driving in connection with a one-vehicle crash in Bruin. Police said he wrecked his pickup truck about 6:20 p.m. Nov. 4 on Main Street.

Schaffner admitted that had consumed alcohol and smoked marijuana earlier that evening, according to court documents. He failed field sobriety tests and was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test.

His blood-alcohol level, police said, was 0.116 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law. He also had marijuana, buprenorphine and norbuprenorphine in his system.

Monday — A 29-year-old Sarver woman reported that she was the victim of an alleged sexual assault over the weekend in Bethel Township.

The woman told investigators that the suspect, a 53-year-old Kittanning man who police did not identify, invited her over Sunday to see a house his brother was building on Kerr Road in Crooked Creek State Park.

The man later invited the victim into his camper and made “forcible sexual advances,” according to a police report, between 9:08 and 9:29 p.m.

The woman was able to get away. She appeared at the barracks in Kittanning to report what happened.

Edwards’ car, court documents said, also crossed the center line several times.

A subsequent search of the car turned up what appeared to be marijuana and THC wax. Police said they also found three drug-smoking devices, a digital scale and plastic baggies.

Edwards is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, disregarding traffic lanes, failing to keep right and a stop sign violation.
