CRANBERRY TWP — Police have made a third arrest in the case of the Ailian Chen Chinese Foot Massage parlor.

Ailian Chen, one of the owners of the parlor, is charged with involvement in a corrupt organization, conspiracy and possession of instruments of crime. She is currently in the Butler County Prison, unable to pay her $250,000 bail.

Police found evidence during their undercover operations and their raid last week that indicated Chen’s involvement, along with the two other women, Di Xu and Jing Wang.

“The items that were seized during the search were in the furtherance of prostitution,” said Cranberry Police Sgt. Chuck Mascellino.

Though the three were arrested the same day, Chen was taken to the hospital before being charged. The reason for her hospitalization is not available at this time.

The three of them will have their preliminary arraignment at 11 a.m. Friday.

Police have not yet decided whether they will charge anyone else in connection with the activities surrounding the parlor, said Mascellino.

“It depends on how the investigation goes,” he said.

Police have also confirmed that there are no concerns about the women’s immigration status.

The women that were arrested all listed the parlor as their permanent address, confirming the suspicions police formed during surveillance of the property.

“Chen is identified on financial records as a part of East and West Properties, LLC., along with ... Xu and another male,” according to the police complaint.

“This LLC purchased the property at 81 Dutilh Road, occupied by Ailian Chen Chinese Foot Massage, in June 2017.”

Police are still working on identifying the owner of several firearms found during the raid to ascertain whether they are legally owned and unrelated to any crimes, said Mascellino.
