Henry H. Brown Jr., 62, of Butler, formerly of Pittsburgh, died unexpectedly Friday.

He was an Army veteran and was one of the first black Pennsylvania State Troopers.

He was the beloved husband of Sang H. Brown, and he was the son of Henry Brown Sr. of California and the late Lucille Brown;

Also surviving are a brother, Rich A. Brown; sisters, Jean Cubbage, Joan Slater, Janice Brown and Denise Hall; daughters, Ronna, Shawna and Kay-de; three grandchildren; a nephew Samuel J. Cubbage II; nieces, Veronica Brown, Cheryl Brown and Trina Smith; two grandnephews, Robert and R.J., and numerous nieces and nephews.
