Randall “Randy” L. Burns, 66, of West Sunbury, passed away the evening of Sept. 24, 2026, at his home.

Born April 18, 1960, in Butler, he was the son of Harry Lee and the late Mary (Vensel) Burns.

Randy was a member of the East Butler Firehall and was a board member of the Butler Armco Employee’s Association. Throughout his 38-year career, he held many positions until his retirement from the shipping department of Cleveland-Cliffs. In his retirement, he loved being outdoors, notably camping and riding his motorcycle.

Randy is survived by his wife, Jolyn M. (Fischer) Burns; his son, Derek Burns; and his daughter, Dana Kearns; his father and stepmother, Harry and Carol Burns; and was the beloved Poppy of three grandchildren, Lily, Elyn, and Grey Kearns. He is also survived by the father of his grandchildren, Josh Kearns; two sisters, Beth (Jeff) Smith and Amy Vodenichar; sister-in-law, Cheryl (Mark) Kretzer; two brothers-in-law, Thomas (Anita) Fischer and Scott (Robin) Fischer; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary; his mother and father-in-law, Dolly and Jack Fischer; niece, Ashtin Ann Fischer; and sister-in-law, Debbie Fischer.

BURNS — Family and friends of Randall “Randy” L. Burns, who died Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026, will be received for visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, at WILLIAM F. YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. Parastas will be held at 7 p.m. at the funeral home led by Father Radko Bleichar.

Additional visitation will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, at Mount Chestnut Presbyterian Church, 724 W. Old Route 422, Butler, where funeral services will follow at noon officiated by the Reverend Mark Allio, assisted by the Reverend Jeff Curtis.

Burial will follow at Mt. Chestnut Cemetery.
