June A. Bruce, 85, of Chicora died at 6:47 a.m. Thursday at the Chicora Medical Center.

Born Oct. 29, 1921, in Butler, she was the daughter of Carl Edward and Ruth Ann Yarger Tack.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and she enjoyed crocheting and making crafts.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Paula) Smith of Butler; two sons, David C. Bruce of Wayne and W. Douglas Bruce of Butler; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Paul Bruce, who died May 16, 2002; a sister, and a brother.
