Sollinger

Howard D. Sollinger, 90, of Warren, Ohio, died at 9:45 p.m. Saturday at the St. Joseph Health Care Center, Warren.

Born June 10, 1916, in Halston, Brady Township, he was a son of James and Effie Loeffler Sollinger.

Mr. Sollinger was a graduate of Slippery Rock High School. and retired from American Welding and Manufacturing as a welder in 1978.

He enjoyed vegetable gardening, bee-keeping, playing checkers and watching golf, football, baseball and basketball on TV.

While living at Clearview Lantern Suites in Warren, he enjoyed playing bingo and attending church services.

Surviving are two daughters, Wanda Rush and Norma Shaffer, both of Warren; three granddaughters; nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cora Sollinger, whom he married May 8, 1937; a brother; and a grandson.

Park Ave., Warren, Ohio.Services will follow at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dennis Lawrence officiating.Burial will be at Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mount Chestnut.
