Debra McElroy Rose, 57, of Woodbridge, Va., formerly of Chicora, died Sunday at the Virginia Medical Center in Arlington.

Born in Butler, Jan. 29, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Erma Griffiths McElroy.

She was a 1969 graduate of Karns City High School and a 1974 alumna of Indiana (Pa.) University.

She is survived by a daughter, Kori Rose of Richmond, Va.; a son, Devin Rose of San Diego, Calif.; a brother, Richard McElroy and his wife, Pat, of Chicora; and two nephews, Nathan McElroy and his wife, Dana, of Indiana and Jason McElroy of Fruitland, Idaho.

<B>ROSE</B> — Friends of Debra McElroy Rose, who died Sunday, March 2, 2008, will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2217 Chicora Road, Chicora. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. James Higgins officiating.
